She rose and went over to Xun Yu, standing on her tiptoes to get a look at his back. She asked Jing Kang, who was in her arms, uncertainly, "Jing Kang, is Father Xun Yu's back bulging?"
All of Xun Yu's fur was white. As he lay prone on the ground, two slight bulges appeared on either side of his spine, and they seemed to be growing larger.
At her words, Jing Kang tilted his head and looked for a moment before crying out, "Yes! Amu, both sides of Father's back are bulging!"
With his eyes brimming with tears, he asked fearfully, "Amu, Father will be okay, won't he?"
"He'll be fine," Su Yu replied, feeling Xun Yu's steady breathing.
She frowned, staring at the two bumps on Xun Yu's back that were growing larger and more prominent. It reminded her of how Taichu had also developed two large bumps right before his horns grew in.
'Could it be...'
Su Yu's eyes lit up, and she called out to Shengqing.
Shengqing walked over to her and asked with concern, "Yu Yu, what's wrong?"
