Kasen's expression wavered, on the verge of breaking. He roared, "Where is my sister, Ke Li! Where in the hell did you hide her?!"
Ke Li's face flushed red, and a gurgling sound escaped her throat. She clawed desperately at Kasen's arm, forcing the words out. "I... am Ke Li... Kasen, brother..."
Tears welled in the corners of her eyes. "Do you... remember when we were just cubs? We tried to steal a Barbaric Bull Beast's calf... and it tossed us... into the sky..."
Kasen froze. His expression went vacant, and the pressure on her neck slackened.
