Ke Li's expression was icy. She lifted her foot and kicked him ruthlessly. "Don't do anything unnecessary. Our objective this time is to deal with that arrogant Goddess. These ants aren't worth our time."
From under the black beast skin, a pitch-black hand covered in slimy scales reached out. He grabbed Ke Li's ankle, revealing hidden crimson eyes. "They will ruin our plans."
Ke Li's face was devoid of expression. "Kill them. And then what?"
"The Goddess will be alerted, the mission will fail. How will you explain that to the Holy Daughter?"
The monster hidden beneath the black beast skin fell silent.
"You want to kill them? Fine." Ke Li stared at him intently, slowly retracting her leg. The mark on her forehead emitted a faint, dark glow. She took a step back. "But not now."
"Kill the Goddess first, then dispose of them. That's the safest way."
The voice was silent for a moment before speaking coldly, "It had better be."
