Regarding the two remaining pivotal elements, Yin and Yang, Dan had arrived at a relatively lucid understanding of their distinct natures and roles within the world's power structure.
Yin Release primarily utilizes Spiritual Energy to govern imagination and mental visualization. It allows for the creation of intricate forms out of raw, formless energy. Through Yin, imagination becomes reality, visualization manifests into the physical world, and a mere thought takes on a tangible shape. It is a force of mental creation and the absolute bedrock of Genjutsu, as well as various complex Fuinjutsu techniques.
Yang Release, conversely, employs Physical Energy to govern vitality and life itself. It breathes activity into otherwise lifeless forms. Energy is converted into raw vitality. Thus, it stands as a biological and physical force, serving as the foundation for advanced medical and healing arts.
In Dan's research, Yin and Yang represent the two primary components that constitute composite Chakra—a simple yet profound equation. Based on his years of labor, Dan could be considered an absolute master of both realms. He dominated Yin through his surgical study of consciousness and intent, and he mastered Yang through his exhaustive analysis of biology and cellular vitality. This dual mastery allowed him to construct diverse techniques based on these deep insights.
However, a far more complex and significant field remained: Senjutsu—the Sage arts based on the Natural Energy permeating the planet. Recently, he had redirected his focus toward this vast domain with renewed seriousness. The birth of his twin daughters, Sera and Nira, who automatically attracted Natural Energy, had underscored the urgency of this research. To ignore it any longer was a risk he was unwilling to take.
Furthermore, from a theoretical perspective, Dan held a firm conviction: Natural Energy is the true Fifth Force of this universe. It is the root cause behind the existence of extraordinary phenomena like Chakra itself. Understanding its origin and role represented the most advanced frontier of his current and future inquiries—a depth far greater than ordinary elements or standard Chakra.
As for the five basic elements (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Lightning), while he would certainly continue to study them—for no knowledge is without value—he decided not to delve too deeply into them for direct combat purposes. He knew well from both the original history and his own logical deductions that at the highest tiers of power, ordinary elements lose their decisive edge.
The reasoning was straightforward: entities such as the Otsutsuki Clan can easily nullify or absorb elemental attacks using the Rinnegan. Against such adversaries, conventional elemental techniques are virtually useless. Moreover, Dan had already achieved a level of raw physical power where he could shatter a region the size of an entire nation with a single, unenhanced punch. Elements offered him little in terms of increasing his offensive ceiling.
To him, the value of the elements lay in utility—creating training aids or secondary techniques for daily life, such as lighting, heating, or cooling. While he encouraged his family to innovate with elemental combat to diversify the Walt family's arsenal, his personal sights were set much higher.
His true priority, the decisive factor in his future path of power, was a total immersion into the origin of Chakra: Natural Energy.
Specifically, Dan focused on two critical questions:
How does Natural Energy interact with and influence the physical world at a molecular level?
Can other forms of energy be converted into pure Natural Energy?
This second question was the most vital research topic before him. Practically speaking, Dan had reached a threshold where ordinary food, regardless of quantity, could no longer satisfy his body's monumental energy requirements. His vessel burned through energy at a supernatural rate, and his training consumed even more. Food had become a mere drop in the ocean of his needs.
He sought a way to convert abundant external energies—specifically thermal energy—into pure, usable Natural Energy. This would be the key to his future progression, as he would eventually require energy volumes equivalent to entire planets.
His path was leading him toward the most gargantuan source available: the thermal energy of the stars. The sun and the stars are orbs of nuclear fire, radiating inconceivable amounts of heat and light every second—vast, untapped resources. If he could master the mechanisms of absorption and conversion, Dan could theoretically sustain himself directly from the energy of the sun.
This was the horizon he was currently working toward a future where he could command the stars themselves to fuel his ascent.
