Inside the magnificent throne hall of the Kingdom of Gelel, a middle-aged man sat upon the royal throne. He wore luxurious royal garments embroidered with gold and silver, while a crown adorned with blue sapphires rested upon his head. A sharp light gleamed in his eyes as he addressed the man bowing before him.
"So then... what was the Blue Dragon Kingdom's response?"
The man standing before him answered, obvious exhaustion etched across his face.
"They refused, Your Majesty. They rejected our proposal outright, leaving no room for negotiation or compromise. They declared that their borders are a red line that cannot be crossed, and that any attempt to approach them will be regarded as an act of war."
Silence immediately filled the entire hall. No one moved their lips or dared raise their eyes. Everyone simply watched the king, waiting for his response. The ministers held their breath, while the king stared into the distance, the gleam of a long-awaited war burning in his eyes.
"Very well. Then this is exactly what we wanted. Officially declare war upon them, and prepare to breach their borders."
Determination spread across the faces of everyone present.
"As you command, Your Majesty!"
Everyone answered in one resounding voice before dispersing to carry out their duties. The ministers hurried to organize supplies and logistics, while the king remained seated upon his throne, gazing toward the horizon, fully aware that the first page of a new chapter in history had just been opened.
At the same time, inside one of the laboratories located near the forests of the Blue Dragon Kingdom, Fenrik and Leon stood side by side, watching the scene unfolding beyond the enormous observation window. Outside, a unit of gigantic warriors each standing well over two and a half meters tall, their bodies encased in specially designed gleaming silver armor were conducting intensive trials with their newly developed equipment.
"Well, Big Brother? What do you think?"
Fenrik asked enthusiastically, eagerly awaiting the praise he believed worthy of all the effort and achievements invested in the project.
Leon answered in a flat voice.
"Not bad. Pretty good."
His words were brief and nowhere near the level of enthusiasm Fenrik had expected.
Fenrik immediately turned toward him, an expression of offense spreading across his face as though he had just been slapped.
"Only 'pretty good'? That's all you've got? Fine then. If that's really your opinion, I'll make sure to tell my eldest sister, Hoshi, exactly how you described her work. I'm sure she'll be very interested to hear that you called it 'just pretty good.'"
The instant Leon heard Hoshi's name, his expression changed dramatically.
"No, no, no, Little Brother! That's not what I meant! It's not just good it's excellent! Absolutely incredible! Truly magnificent, Fenrik! And don't forget to tell her that I also said it's advanced, innovative, and worthy of the highest praise. Please... don't do this. You know exactly what happens when she gets angry."
His voice carried an unusually obvious tension, as though an unpleasant memory had suddenly resurfaced. Fenrik merely chuckled, wearing a mischievous grin as he watched his formidable older brother fall into such comical panic.
In truth, no one in the Walt Family dared provoke Hoshi. She was the older sister who possessed an unusually playful yet terrifying sense of revenge, blending extraordinary intelligence with mischievous creativity in a way that made every member of the family instinctively fear upsetting her. After their father, she was widely acknowledged as the most intelligent person in the entire family.
Whenever one of her siblings angered her which happened only rarely because everyone understood the consequences , she would usually place a seal upon them that temporarily removed one of their senses for a day or two. Sometimes she would take away their sense of taste, leaving every meal to resemble ashes. At other times she would seal their hearing, trapping them in absolute silence. And should anyone attempt to break or circumvent one of her seals... well, good luck with that. Her mastery of Fūinjutsu had reached an extraordinarily advanced level, making it practically impossible for any of her siblings to remove one of her seals. Only their father possessed the ability to do so, and he never involved himself in disputes between his children.
Because of that, none of her brothers or sisters ever deliberately irritated or provoked her for any reason. And if one of them happened to offend her even by accident they would apologize almost immediately and quietly retreat before matters escalated. After all, what awaited them was rarely just a simple nuisance. Sometimes she would create a perfect duplicate of them and force them into an endless argument with their own copy. Other times she might transform them into frogs for an entire week, or replace their voices with the squeak of a tiny mouse. Consequently, everyone treated Hoshi with extreme caution. They all understood that keeping her pleased was the safest course of action, while making her angry meant opening the gates to her endlessly creative and endlessly troublesome games, which would only end once she finally grew bored.
