Miles knew that I wasn't the best at arguing. Staying silent and lowering my head during an argument was a habit that I picked up since I was a child, because no matter how right I was, Clarissa and my stepmother would always twist the truth, and my father was never on my side either. Thus, he could monopolize any argument that we had and pin every blame on me.
But Anok was different. She kept her stance, looking down on a man that was shorter than her, and sneered, "Do you think I don't know who you are, Miles Hoffman?"
"If… if you know who I am, then stop trying to interfere and let me reprimand my crazy wife!" Miles yelled. He pointed at the others who were using their phones to record the situation. "Did you not see how everyone in here wants to record this? My wife is unstable, she will hurt you if you're not careful, so it's better for you to step aside!"
