I returned to Ray's office to pick up my pajamas, and then went to my room to take a shower.
Last night with Ray was amazing. It was one-of-a-kind pleasure that made me forget about all my worries. A kind of wild night that made you feel alive.
Yet, after every wild night, there would be regret and consequences, and I felt it now.
If I was able to control myself and run away from Ray's office last night, we wouldn't have ended up naked in his room.
And he wouldn't have to see my ugly scars that made me feel so pathetic, like a discarded doll that had been ragged left and right before getting incinerated.
Unfortunately, since it had happened, there was nothing I could do but swallow the fact that I had been exposed, and Ray was probably looking down on me, just like Miles.
He probably regretted ever sleeping with me, even if it was just drunken sex.
