"I didn't tell you the meaning of these flowers back then, because it was too embarrassing. I might be acting like a clown trying to get your attention, but I was still a shy country girl in the end," Claudia giggled.
"Then why don't you tell me now?"
"Do you want to know?" She giggled again, a faint hue of red appearing on her cheeks. "Back then, I wanted to tell you that lavenders are tough like me, but also frail if not watered enough. That means you have to love me every day, make me feel liked, loved, cared for, so I will continue to be strong even in any harsh condition in my life."
"But I backed off before saying that, since you… you never showed any kind of love or care to me. I was scared of embarrassing myself."
Claudia's smile thinned after that, then she lowered her gaze to stare at the bouquet again. "It must be a coincidence, right? Why would a busy man like you remember a stupid bouquet I gave you back then? It would make you look… pathetic."
