Claudia POV
My cheeks heated up quickly as I slapped her arm. "D-don't speak nonsense. R-Ray and I—We—"
"Alright, alright, let's go. I'm sure the girls are hungry right now," Anok spared me by walking to the girls and pushing Lara's wheelchair, while Ray pushed Aurora's.
I followed them by standing right next to Ray and accidentally brushed against the box in his trouser pocket. I gasped, but quickly fixed my expression so as not to pressure him into proposing too early.
I knew that was definitely a ring holder. He had been keeping it inside his pocket ever since we were about to attend court. He didn't show any sign of nervousness, unlike Miles when he proposed to me back then.
But that made me the one who got nervous in the end.
Would he actually propose to me today? Or was it for someone else?
How come he didn't show any sign of nervousness all this time? Surely, he'd feel giddy and nervous when he was about to propose, right?
But we hadn't been together for long.
