As soon as the words fell, immense lightning energy erupted from William's body as he charged towards the falling figure of Jack, whose body was rushing towards Earth.
He predicted on what could happen next but then, he saw his figure rushing towards him and a figure of a beasts' wide, open jaw surrounding William's body.
"If I just strike him, that won't work. But using a Counter skill can work.
But the real problem is..... I can't understand what I could use. It might be a Grade 2 skill, full of raw power, but still...
It's the Weakest among the grade 2 group! (After a second pause) Oh, so he's here already, hm? (With a loud voice) Well I guess you are really close."
Mirage Strike!!
As soon as the words fell, a pale yellow light emerged from Jack's sword, and suddenly, he Body-Flickered towards William.
This move made Jack close the distance between them and with a vertical upward strike, his wooden sword met the attack of William.
But as soon as the 2 blades met, the jaw like figure which had surrounded William's body all the time closed itself, like a tiger, how it closes its jaw to get the hold of the prey's neck.
The closure left a few minor injuries around Jack's body, blood coming out from his waist, shoulders, neck, arms, chest and his legs. But, he had known what would happen earlier.
Suddenly, the light that was coming from Jack's side engulfed William's head.
Actually, this move alters the opponent's vision and other senses and the alteration can only be controlled by the caster along with the alteration of one's ability to sense mana from a person.
So, the clash was profitable to Jack, as he relaxed a bit, but didn't lowered his guard.
With the light binding William's head, William's scene was much more severe. He could see clearly that Jack was in front of him, but when he tried to attack, he found himself on the ground.
Soon after so many attempts, he realised he was now doomed. Unless he himself lost consciousness or Jack got defeated, he couldn't help himself from the effects of the ability.
So, he again tried to use many abilities again and again but those trials resulted in mana depletion only since he could not directly locate Jack's presence either through senses or by mana detection.
Soon, he realised he should use an ability which covered a wide area so that if Jack was at any direction or at any distance, the ability could hit him.
Then he gathered some mana around his Katana, looking at his front where he could see Jack whose hands were folded and the wooden sword lying on the ground.
With a sudden flicker of his arms, the mana rose absurdly, and the wind flowing fiercely all around, like a cyclone. A few moments later, the wind started to carry a slight irritating effect.
Means if a person was standing there, he could clearly feel his skin and his body becoming warm for the first few seconds.
After some time, he could feel the slightest irritation across his whole body, like dipping a finger in diluted acids and feeling the irritation that starts on the fingers.
But, it was not over yet, the air, after carrying the burning and irritating effects, could seriously damage one's lungs and internal organs just by even inhaling a small portion.
That ability was none other than William's own family carried Innate ability: The Scorching Wind
Jack couldn't understand what happened. Not even understanding which ability he was using. That's why he got off guard and unconsciously, turned 'Off' the skill which was still active and had affected William's senses and detection abilities.
As soon as it happened, he felt a tremendous burningpain across his lungs, his gut system and many other organs like the kidneys, his brain or even his bones.
It was so much intense that blood was pouring out of his mouth, his nose and even his eye sockets.
His vision blurred, his ears gradually losing its hearing properties.
But he didn't gave up, saying,"I have survived even more Worse scenarios than this from my Childhood, and you are using this ability against me!!
You have no idea that what I'm made up of!! "
