Ok so quick question. I have had a couple of people wanting momo added and I'm not totally against it due to me having written her to be such a wifey by accident. (Was using her to throw people off at first in the beginning I wanted to throw a curve ball with Yui being the love interest). So I will allow yall to decide whether to add momo or not.
She will be the only option available so it is yes or no. React with a +1 with your choice below.

Chapter 23: 1 v 1 Fights
The stadium lights flared brighter as the crowd settled in for the main event. The one-on-one tournament bracket glowed on the massive screens, and Present Mic's voice cracked with excitement.
"THE TOURNAMENT BRACKET IS SET! WE'RE STARTING WITH BLOCK A! FIRST MATCH — CID KAGENO THE FIRST PLACE FINISHER OF THE RACE AND THE CAVALRY BATTLE VERSUS DENKI KAMINARI U.A.'S VERY OWN PICKACHU!"
The arena erupted. Cid stepped out from the waiting tunnel, hands in his pockets. Across the field, Kaminari bounced on his toes, trying to look confident despite the visible sweat on his forehead.
"Alright, buddy," Kaminari called out, sparks already dancing across his skin. "I know you're fast, but I've got lightning! Let's make this a good show!"
Cid didn't answer with words. He simply looked at the stage, then at Kaminari, and sighed. Feeling kinda bad about this match up.
The starting bell rang.
Kaminari didn't hesitate. He thrust both hands forward, electricity crackling wildly as he unleashed a wide-arc discharge in every direction.
Cid raised one hand lazily.
The space between him and the incoming lightning expanded in an instant — the bolts slowed, and fizzled harmlessly into the air like dying fireworks. Not a single spark reached him.
Before Kaminari could even register what had happened, Cid focused again.
The entire fighting stage beneath their feet shrank until only Cid stood on it .
One moment it was a full-sized arena platform. Next it was the size of a chair.
Kaminari let out a startled yelp as the ground vanished under him. He dropped like a stone, arms flailing, straight into the padded safety pit below the stage.
Midnight called the match in seconds.
"Match over! Winner — Cid Kageno!"
The stadium went dead silent for half a second, then exploded into stunned cheers and laughter. Present Mic was screaming so hard his voice cracked.
"WHAT THE—?! CID KAGENO JUST ENDED THE MATCH IN TWO MOVES! HE DIDN'T EVEN LET KAMINARI TAKE A SINGLE STEP! THAT'S NOT A FIGHT, THAT'S A ONE SIDED ANNIHILATION!"
Cid stepped off the now-normal-sized stage as if nothing had happened. He gave the crowd a small, lazy wave and walked back toward the tunnel without a second glance.
Kaminari climbed to his feet, groaning. "Man… I didn't even get to zap him once…"
**Match 2: Fumikage Tokoyami vs. Mina Ashido**
Mina bounded onto the stage with her usual energy, acid already dripping from her fingertips. "Let's dance, bird boy!"
Tokoyami stepped forward, Dark Shadow spreading out behind him like a living cloak. "I do not dance."
Mina fired a barrage of acid shots. The pink liquid flew fast — but Dark Shadow simply swelled, absorbing every drop without flinching. The acid sizzled harmlessly against the shadow creature's form and evaporated.
"Awww crap" Mina said as she stood there surprised.
After that Dark Shadow wrapped around Mina in a gentle but firm hold, pinning her in place.
"Match over! Winner — Fumikage Tokoyami!"
Mina pouted as she was released. "Ugh, your shadow is cheating! It barely even feels the acid!"
Tokoyami bowed slightly. "A shadow has no nerves to burn."
**Match 3: Shoto Todoroki vs. Hanta Sero**
Sero grinned nervously as he fired tape from both elbows and yelled "I don't feel like I can win, yet it also does not feel like losing against you!!"
Todoroki didn't move much. He simply raised his right hand.
A massive glacier erupted from the ground, instantly freezing Sero in a giant glacier of ice.
"Match over! Winner — Shoto Todoroki!"
The crowd start chanting "Nice try, don't Mind" to sero
**Match 4: Izuku Midoriya vs. Ochaco Uraraka**
The final match of Block A was the one the crowd had been waiting for.
Izuku and Ochaco stepped onto the stage facing each other. Both looked determined, but there was a clear friendship in the way they nodded at one another.
"You've gotten stronger, Deku," Ochaco said with a bright smile, palms glowing faintly as she activated her Quirk. "But I'm not going down easy!"
Izuku smiled back, green lightning already crackling around him. "Same here, Uraraka-san! Let's give it everything!"
The fight was fast and heartfelt. Ochaco floated herself and tried to touch Izuku to make him weightless, but Izuku used a controlled 5% Smash to launch himself around the stage, dodging her touch while trying not to hurt her. He kept his power low — still new to One For All, he was careful not to break the stage or injure his friend.
Ochaco managed to graze his arm once, making him float, but Izuku countered with a Detroit Smash at 8% to propel himself back down safely. In the end, he managed to pin her in an awkward position with him pressing her arms into her chest and his hand lightly around her throat while he sat on her waist.
"Match over! Winner — Izuku Midoriya!"
That seemed to snap them out of their combat focus and realize the position they were in and Izuku's brain blue screened. As he froze, ochaco blushed brightly and the crowd started whistling and cheering.
This caused Izuku to jump back like he was burned, repeatedly apologizing as they walked off the field and I to the same tunnel.
With this the first round of Block A was complete.
"BLOCK A IS IN THE BOOKS! NOW LET'S SEE WHAT BLOCK B HAS FOR US! FOUR MORE MATCHES TO DECIDE WHO MOVES ON TO THE QUARTERFINALS!"
The screens updated, and the second half of the bracket glowed brightly.
**Block B**
- Match 5: Yui Kodai vs. Tenya Iida
- Match 6: Katsuki Bakugo vs. Momo Yaoyorozu
- Match 7: Eijiro Kirishima vs. Neito Monoma
- Match 8: Hitoshi Shinso vs. Mei Hatsume
The first-year students shifted in their seats. Yui stepped out onto the stage first, calm and focused. Iida met her in the center, engines already humming in his calves as he adjusted his glasses.
"Kodai! I will not hold back!" he declared, bowing sharply. "Let us have a fair and honorable match!"
Yui simply nodded. The moment the starting bell rang, she dropped to one knee and pressed both palms flat against the arena floor.
The entire fighting stage shrank in a single, smooth motion — shrinking from regulation size to something no larger than a small coffee table. Iida, mid-sprint, suddenly found the ground disappearing beneath him. He stumbled and dropped straight to the ground below.
"Match over! Winner — Yui Kodai!"
The crowd roared in disbelief. Yui stood up, brushed off her hands, and gave the arena a small, polite bow before walking off the stage. She glanced toward the waiting area where Cid was watching and offered him the tiniest smirk.
Cid's mouth twitched in return.
**Match 6: Katsuki Bakugo vs. Momo Yaoyorozu**
Momo created a reinforced shield the instant the bell rang, but Bakugo was already moving.
He exploded forward in a blinding burst of speed, closing the distance before Momo could even finish forming her first cannon. A single point-blank explosion slammed into her shield and sent her skidding across the stage. She tried to create a net to catch herself, but Bakugo was already behind her, another explosion launching him into a brutal follow-up.
It was over in seconds.
"Match over! Winner — Katsuki Bakugo!"
Bakugo landed with a satisfied smirk, palms still smoking. "Too slow, Ponytail."
Momo laid there on the outside of the stage, absolutely stunned at how fast she lost. Her self confidence crumbled as she picked herself up and quietly walked off the field, holding in her tears at such a loss. Then rushed into the nearest hallway.
Cid watched on from his class's spectator booth with a slight frown, not at Bakugo, but at the look on Momo's face. She was his friend, at least that's how he saw her so he decided to go see if she was ok.
**Match 7: Eijiro Kirishima vs. Neito Monoma**
Monoma stepped onto the stage with a smug grin. He'd had time to prepare — and he'd copied Ibara Shiozaki's Vine Quirk right before the match.
The moment the bell rang, thick, thorny vines erupted from the ground, wrapping around Kirishima's hardened body and yanking him straight toward the edge of the stage. Kirishima hardened further, trying to break free, but Monoma simply smiled and used the vines to fling him cleanly off the platform.
"Match over! Winner — Neito Monoma!"
Kirishima landed in the pit, groaning. "Man… that copy quirk is no joke…"
Monoma dusted off his hands with a theatrical bow. "Class 1-B supremacy."
**Match 8: Hitoshi Shinso vs. Mei Hatsume**
Mei practically skipped onto the stage, already launching into a rapid-fire sales pitch about her latest "Baby" inventions.
"Watch this! My new auto-balancing hover boots combined with my capture net launcher will revolutionize hero support gear! Just look at the sleek design and—"
Shinso's eyes narrowed. "Hey, Mei. Why don't you tell me more about that net launcher?"
Mei's mouth kept moving, but her eyes glazed over the moment she answered the question. Shinso's Brainwashing Quirk took hold instantly.
He pointed toward the edge of the stage.
Mei, still mid-sentence about her inventions even under brainwashing, walked straight off the platform and into the pit.
"Match over! Winner — Hitoshi Shinso!"
Shinso gave a small, tired sigh as the crowd erupted. "She really never shuts up…"
The screens updated once more, showing the eight advancing competitors:
**Quarterfinal Matchups**
- Cid Kageno vs. Yui Kodai
- Fumikage Tokoyami vs. Katsuki Bakugo
- Shoto Todoroki vs. Neito Monoma
- Izuku Midoriya vs. Hitoshi Shinso
Present Mic's voice exploded across the arena.
"THAT'S IT FOR THE FIRST ROUND! WE'VE GOT OUR FINAL EIGHT! THE QUARTERFINALS BEGIN IN THIRTY MINUTES! GET READY FOR SOME SERIOUS ONE-ON-ONE ACTION!"
The crowd roared as the students began filing back toward the waiting areas. Cid and Yui met eyes across the field. For a brief moment, the rest of the noise faded.
