The transition to the Sixth Heaven felt like stepping through a cold sheet of water. As the Obsidian Palace emerged from the void-tunnel, the crew gasped. There was no sky, no sun, and no horizon.
The entire realm was a crystalline sphere made of trillions of floating shards. Each shard reflected a different moment in history. Looking into one, Iron-Eye saw himself as a child; in another, Frost-Weaver saw her own execution.
"Don't look too long," the Silent Blade warned, his mechanical eyes clicking as they adjusted their filters. "The Speculum doesn't just show the past—it feeds on it. If you lose yourself in a reflection, your soul stays behind, and a 'Mirror-Ghost' takes your place in reality."
Shen Yuan stood on the prow, his black hair whipping in a wind that carried the scent of old parchment. His Void-Body hummed, resisting the pull of the shards.
"Where is she?" Shen Yuan asked, his voice cold.
"At the Core of Paradox," the Silent Blade pointed toward a massive, rotating diamond at the center of the sphere. "She is using the [Great Mirror of Primordial Origin]. She isn't just watching your past, Master... she is stepping into it."
The Core of Paradox
As they approached the central diamond, the reflections began to synchronize. Every shard showed the same image: Sovereign Shen Yuan at the height of his power ten thousand years ago, sitting on his throne of stars.
Suddenly, a woman stepped out of the light. She was radiant, draped in robes made of woven moonlight. It was Ling Xian, but she looked younger, her eyes glowing with a terrifying, divine clarity.
"You're too late, Yuan," she said, her voice echoing from a billion shards at once. "I've already begun the [Chrono-Sync]. Look at your hands. Do you feel them fading?"
Shen Yuan looked down. His fingers were becoming translucent. The memories of his current life—the mines, the battle with Bastion, the awakening of his Generals—were blurring.
"I am rewriting the moment of the poison," Ling Xian smiled. "In the new history, you didn't survive. You didn't reincarnate. You simply... ceased. And I inherited the Void."
"A mirror is just glass, Ling Xian," Shen Yuan growled, his voice vibrating with the power of the Nothingness-Script. "And glass is meant to be shattered."
"Is it?" Ling Xian gestured to the space between them.
Out of the Great Mirror stepped a figure. He was dressed in the Original Aegis, his aura so vast it made the entire Sixth Heaven groan. It was the Mirror-Sovereign—a perfect copy of Shen Yuan from his first life, possessing all the memories and techniques of his peak.
The Mirror-Sovereign raised a hand. "[Ninth Gate: The Star-Crushing Palm]"
A massive hand of purple Qi descended, identical to the move Shen Yuan used to conquer the Nine Heavens.
Shen Yuan didn't retreat. He stepped forward, meeting the strike with his bare, mortal fist.
BOOM.
The shockwave shattered thousands of nearby shards, erasing centuries of minor histories. Shen Yuan's arm cracked, but he didn't move.
"You're fighting your own legend," Ling Xian laughed. "How can 'Nothingness' defeat 'Everything'?"
"Because 'Everything' is heavy," Shen Yuan hissed, his eyes turning into black pits. "And 'Nothing' has nothing to lose."
"[Void Art: The Mirror-Break]"
Shen Yuan didn't strike the Mirror-Sovereign. He struck the air between them. He used his new ability to manipulate the "Law of Identity." He forced the Mirror-Sovereign to acknowledge that he was just a reflection—a lie.
"You are a memory," Shen Yuan whispered to his past self. "And a memory cannot bleed. But I... I have bled for every inch of this ground."
He drove his hand into the Mirror-Sovereign's chest. Instead of blood, liquid glass poured out. The legendary armor of the past began to crack.
"Master!" the Silent Blade shouted, leaping forward. "The link is breaking! If you kill him now, the paradox will explode! We have to stabilize the Core!"
"I'm not here to stabilize it," Shen Yuan said, his hand closing around the Mirror-Sovereign's throat. "I'm here to overwrite it."
He didn't destroy the reflection. He absorbed it. He pulled the 10,000 years of experience and the peak-power of his past self into his current, hollowed-out Void-Body.
[System Warning: Identity Overload]
[Integration: 10%... 40%... 80%...]
Shen Yuan's body began to grow, his hair turning into a swirling nebula of black and gold. He was no longer just the "Reincarnator" or the "Sovereign." He was something new—a Dual-Existence.
Ling Xian's face turned pale. "No! The Chrono-Sync... it's reversing!"
"The past is a debt, Ling Xian," the New Shen Yuan spoke, his voice sounding like the collision of two galaxies. "And today, I am closing the account."
He turned his gaze toward the Great Mirror. With one word, he shattered the foundation of the Sixth Heaven.
"BEGONE."
