Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Dual-Soul Singularity

The Great Mirror of Primordial Origin did not just break; it shrieked. As Shen Yuan absorbed the Mirror-Sovereign, the fundamental laws of the Sixth Heaven—Causality, Reflection, and Memory—shattered.

"Master, your form!" Frost-Weaver cried out, shielding her eyes.

Shen Yuan's body was a chaotic storm. One half of him was the sleek, dark Void-Vessel from his current life; the other half was the radiant, armored Sovereign of the past. The two versions of his soul were fighting for dominance, causing his physical shell to flicker in and out of reality.

"The integration is failing!" the Silent Blade shouted, his mechanical joints sparking as the reality around them warped. "You have too much 'History' and too much 'Nothingness' at the same time! They are annihilating each other!"

"I... will not... be... erased!" Shen Yuan's voice was a double-layered roar.

He reached out, his hand grasping at the empty air. He wasn't looking for a weapon; he was looking for a Bridge.

"General," Shen Yuan gasped, looking at the Silent Blade. "Your core... the [Chronos-Heart]. It's the only thing that can process two timelines at once."

The Silent Blade didn't hesitate. He stepped toward his Master, his chest plates sliding open to reveal a pulsing, golden gear—the heart of an ancient Automaton-God.

"It was always meant for you, Master," the Blade said, his voice dropping its mechanical filter. "I have carried it for ten thousand years. Use it to weld your lives together."

The General reached into his own chest and tore the golden gear out. As he did, his mechanical eyes dimmed, and his body began to rust instantly.

"Silent Blade!" Iron-Eye roared, catching his falling comrade.

Shen Yuan grabbed the Chronos-Heart. He didn't place it in his chest; he crushed it, letting the golden dust coat his skin.

"[Dual-Soul Art: The Chrono-Weld]"

The golden dust acted as a spiritual lubricant. The radiant Sovereign and the dark Void-Vessel finally merged. The flickering stopped. Shen Yuan stood in the center of the collapsing dimension, his hair a mix of starlight and shadow, his eyes possessing a depth that could swallow galaxies.

"Ling Xian," Shen Yuan whispered.

The "Empress" was cowering near the exit portal, her robes tattered. She had lost her connection to the Mirror-Realm. She was now just a soul without a home.

"You took my past," Shen Yuan said, walking toward her. Every step he took created a localized time-stop. "You tried to steal my future. Now, I take your Present."

He didn't kill her. He reached into her soul and pulled out the [Jade Heavens Key]—the coordinates to the Seventh Heaven.

"Go," Shen Yuan commanded. "Run to the Sea of Souls. Tell the Ancestors that the man they betrayed has stopped being a man. I am the Law now."

With a flick of his wrist, he sent her flying through the portal. Then, he turned to his Generals. He looked at the rusted, lifeless body of the Silent Blade in Iron-Eye's arms.

"He isn't gone," Shen Yuan said, touching the Automaton's forehead. "His soul is inside me now, part of the Chronos-Heart. When we reach the Heavenly Forge in the Eighth Heaven, I will build him a body made of suns."

"We move," Shen Yuan declared.

He raised his hand and punched the air. The Sixth Heaven didn't just open a portal; it unzipped. The entire dimension collapsed behind them as the Obsidian Palace surged forward into the Seventh Heaven: The Sea of Souls.

The Seventh Heaven – The Sea of Souls

They emerged over an endless, silver ocean. The "water" wasn't liquid; it was composed of billions of drifting wisps of light—the souls of everyone who had ever died in the Nine Heavens, waiting for reincarnation.

Floating above the sea were the Seven Ancestral Pagodas, where the true masters of the Upper Realm resided.

"Master," Zither-Soul whispered, his bone flute glowing. "The pressure here... it's not physical. It's the weight of a billion lives."

"Good," Shen Yuan said, his new Dual-Soul pulsing with a hunger that made the silver sea retreat. "I've always wanted to see how much a 'God' weighs when you strip away their followers."

A voice boomed from the highest Pagoda, a voice that sounded like a tectonic plate shifting.

"Shen Yuan. You have crossed the line of the Forbidden. Turn back, or we shall dissolve your soul into the tides of the Sea."

Shen Yuan looked at the Pagodas. He didn't summon a weapon. He simply stood on the bow of his palace and smiled.

"I didn't come to cross your line," Shen Yuan said. "I came to drown your sea."
