CHAPTER SIXTEEN
The peaceful night in Valkyren is about to be upended as agents of the cabal prepare for their next strike.
Beelzebub stood with three figures on a rocky cliff somewhere far from the shore of Valkyren, a car pulled up in front of them.
The newest addition to their team had arrived, Ives stepped out wearing his eagle mask followed by Zeke wearing an owl mask.
"A pleasure as always." Beelzebub greeted warmly.
"Our lord." The other three bowed deeply in Ives' presence.
"Thank you." Ives acknowledged their greeting then focused his attention at the coast where he saw a large manufacturing facility still in operation, nothing seemed out of the ordinary which meant something probably was.
"Zhou gin chemicals. Are you familiar with them?" Beelzebub began.
"Yes. Everyone knows them, they employ a good portion of the city, fund many public projects and political campaigns, half of the city would go under if they weren't here." Ives showed his expertise as he recited everything this international conglomerate was known for.
"True. Zhou gin chemicals does all that and more in fact, they don't just supply chemicals, they assist in global human trafficking, terrorism and conspiracies worldwide, political manipulation on a national level, several damaging operations to the environment and this is just the stuff we know about."
Ives fell silent hearing this, he didn't imagine that one of the top companies that was the lifeblood of his home city could have a hand in almost every bad thing plaguing it.
"Are you surprised?. Zhou gin has its roots in the communist state of Guang Union. A lovely little country on Asian gulf known for extremism, inhumane treatment of its own citizens and agressive commitment to their fascist beliefs. It only makes sense that they would create and fund a chemical manufacturing and shipping business which would allow them access to most nations and their information especially when they are planning a war against their neighbouring state "Huaxia" who it turns out our beloved country fiercely supports." Beelzebub made it clear, they were in the center of an international conspiracy.
"We have the evidence, let's reveal them." Ives suggested a better alternative than outright destroying the facility. Releasing what they know to the general public would immediately turn the public eye against Zhou gin and draw intense action from the government.
"Mister Rothschild. We already have but by the time any form of meaningful action is taken, this city would be a graveyard." Zeke revealed.
"Guang Union have begun military action against Huaxia early this evening, soon the entire Asian gulf will turn into a blood bath. And all of Huaxia's allies will definitely aid them and this could turn the tide of the battle against Guang and it's own allies so they are planning a suicide strike. Making all their puppet organizations and businesses, embark on wide spread terrorism in the home territories of Huaxia's allies crippling their ability to significantly affect the war. In a few minutes, Valkyren will be one of those targets and Zhou gin is the puppet executing the strike."
