Chapter: The Most Dangerous Girlfriend (Keifer POV)
I swear… my girlfriend is not normal.
I was sitting near the dying campfire with the guys after the whole "Jay-with-a-knife" apocalypse finally calmed down.
The flames were smaller now, glowing orange against the dark forest around the retreat camp. Everyone looked traumatized.
And honestly?
Same.
Aries stretched his arms and looked at me with the most annoying grin.
"Bro…" he said, shaking his head dramatically.
"Your girlfriend is very dangerous."
The whole Section E immediately agreed.
"VERY dangerous," Drew added.
"Psychopath level," Rory muttered.
"Barracuda mode is real," Mayo said while still looking around nervously.
Blaster whispered, "I thought I was going to die today."
Josh pointed at the ground.
"She literally tried to throw Ci-n into the bonfire."
Ci-n immediately stood up.
"I AM STILL TRAUMATIZED."
David patted his shoulder.
"You survived, bro."
Erdix sighed dramatically.
"I still can't believe she chased us with a knife."
Emman shook his head.
"Keif… I respect you."
Eren nodded slowly.
"Yeah… dating Jay requires bravery."
I leaned back on my hands and smirked a little.
"You guys are exaggerating."
Aries stared at me like I had lost my mind.
"EXAGGERATING???" he yelled.
"She chased twelve people with a KNIFE."
"She tried to sacrifice Ci-n to fire like some ancient ritual."
Everyone nodded.
I shrugged.
"She was drunk."
"DRUNK??" Kit shouted.
"Yes," I replied calmly.
"Drunk Jay is different."
"Different?" Aries laughed.
"She's a horror movie villain!"
Everyone burst out laughing.
Then suddenly…
The tent behind us moved.
Everyone froze.
I felt it too.
A small rustling sound.
The zipper slowly moved.
My eyes widened.
Oh no.
The tent opened.
And Jay stepped out.
Her hair was messy from sleep, her eyes half open, and she was wearing my oversized hoodie that reached almost to her thighs.
For a second… the whole world stopped.
Then Rory whispered—
"RUN."
And chaos exploded again.
Blaster jumped behind a tree.
Josh dove behind the firewood pile.
Mayo ran behind David.
Erdix literally hid behind Emman.
Ci-n screamed and ran to the other side of the camp.
"WHY ARE YOU ALL RUNNING?!" Jay shouted confused.
But no one trusted that question.
Aries hid behind me like I was some kind of human shield.
"Keif… control your girlfriend."
Jay slowly walked toward the fire.
Her eyes looked sleepy… not murderous.
Good sign.
Very good sign.
She stopped in front of us.
Everyone held their breath.
She looked around.
Then frowned.
"Why are you all hiding like cockroaches?"
No one answered.
She rolled her eyes.
Then…
She walked straight to me.
Without saying anything.
Without warning.
She climbed onto my lap.
Just like that.
My brain stopped working for a second.
Her arms wrapped lazily around my neck.
Her body leaned against my chest.
Warm.
Soft.
Comfortable.
The entire camp stared at us in absolute silence.
Jay yawned softly.
"Keif…" she murmured sleepily.
"Hmm?"
"I'm sleepy."
Aries peeked from behind the tree.
"YOU WERE SLEEPING ALREADY."
Jay ignored him.
She adjusted herself on my lap and rested her head against my shoulder.
Then she hugged my neck tighter.
And within seconds…
She fell asleep again.
Just like that.
Dead asleep.
The same girl who tried to stab everyone thirty minutes ago was now sleeping like an angel in my arms.
The guys slowly came out from hiding.
Josh whispered.
"…Is she… asleep?"
I nodded.
"Yeah."
Ci-n cautiously walked closer.
"Are you sure?"
Jay suddenly shifted in her sleep.
Everyone jumped back three steps.
Aries whispered dramatically—
"I'm not dying today."
I chuckled quietly and brushed Jay's messy hair away from her face.
Her breathing was soft and slow.
Peaceful.
David shook his head in disbelief.
"She's two different people."
"Day version and horror version."
Mayo nodded.
"Normal Jay and Barracuda Jay."
Eren crossed his arms.
"And Keif loves both versions."
I smirked.
"Obviously."
Aries looked at me like I was insane.
"Bro…"
"You're either brave…"
"Or stupid."
I shrugged.
"Maybe both."
Jay shifted again in her sleep and tightened her arms around my neck.
"Keif…" she murmured.
"Hmm?"
"Don't leave…"
My chest tightened a little.
"I'm not going anywhere."
She smiled slightly even in her sleep.
Then snuggled closer.
The guys went quiet.
Even Aries didn't make a joke.
Rory whispered softly.
"She really trusts you."
I looked down at Jay sleeping against me.
Her hair tickled my neck.
Her face looked peaceful.
So different from earlier chaos.
I wrapped my arm around her waist to keep her from falling.
"She always does this," I said quietly.
"Acts like a storm."
"Then sleeps like nothing happened."
Blaster laughed softly.
"Your girlfriend is crazy."
I smirked.
"Yeah."
"But she's my crazy."
Aries sighed dramatically.
"Kuya Angelo needs to know about this."
I glared at him.
"Don't you dare."
He grinned wickedly.
"Oh I dare."
Jay suddenly moved again.
Everyone froze.
Her eyes half opened.
She looked around sleepily.
Then whispered—
"…Why are there twelve people staring at me?"
No one answered.
Then she shrugged.
"Whatever."
And fell asleep again.
Aries slowly whispered—
"Yep."
"Definitely dangerous."
And honestly?
He wasn't wrong.
