Chapter 83 - the next morning

Chapter: The Morning Chaos

(Aries' POV)

Morning in our house is never peaceful.

But that morning?

That morning was pure disaster.

I woke up because of banging noises.

Not the normal kind.

Not the "someone dropped something" kind.

No.

This sounded like someone was moving furniture, falling off the bed, and starting a wrestling match at the same time.

I groaned and pulled the pillow over my head.

"Please let it be construction outside… please let it be construction outside…"

BANG.

A loud thud came from upstairs.

I slowly removed the pillow.

"…Nope."

I already knew.

Keif and Jay.

Again.

I sat up on the bed and rubbed my eyes.

From the hallway I could hear Ci n shouting.

"BRO WHAT ARE THEY DOING UP THERE?!"

Keigan's sleepy voice answered.

"Either fighting… or destroying the bed."

Keiran ran past my door.

"Kuya Aries! Kuya Aries! The room is shaking again!"

I walked out into the hallway, half asleep.

Ci n was standing there with his arms crossed looking at the ceiling like he was analyzing an earthquake.

Keigan leaned against the wall drinking juice like this was a normal morning.

Another loud THUMP came from upstairs.

Ci n pointed dramatically.

"SEE?!"

I sighed.

"They're alive. That's good enough."

Keigan shook his head.

"No, this is suspicious."

Just then the front door opened.

We all turned.

And standing there with a small bag on his shoulder was—

Kuya Angelo.

He had just arrived.

Perfect timing.

He stepped inside the house looking confused.

"Why is everyone standing in the hallway?"

Before we could answer—

BANG.

Another loud crash from upstairs.

Kuya Angelo froze.

His eyes slowly moved to the ceiling.

"…What was that?"

Ci n immediately pointed upward like a witness in court.

"Upstairs."

Keigan nodded seriously.

"Very active morning."

Another loud THUD.

And then—

Jay's voice.

"KEIF!"

Followed by Keif's voice.

"WAIT—!"

Then something fell.

Hard.

Kuya Angelo's eyes widened.

"…ARE THEY FIGHTING?"

Keiran whispered loudly.

"No, they're in the room."

Ci n covered his mouth trying not to laugh.

Kuya Angelo looked horrified.

"In the room doing WHAT?!"

Before anyone could answer—

Jay yelled again.

"YOU'RE GOING TO BREAK IT!"

Ci n collapsed on the floor laughing.

Keigan nearly choked on his juice.

Kuya Angelo looked like his soul left his body.

"…WHAT ARE THEY BREAKING?!"

Keiran looked completely innocent.

"The bed probably."

Kuya Angelo grabbed his head.

"THE BED?!"

Another loud noise.

Then silence.

For two seconds.

Then—

BANG.

Kuya Angelo pointed to the stairs.

"That's it."

He started walking up.

Ci n jumped up immediately.

"Oh this is going to be good."

Keigan followed like it was a live show.

Keiran ran behind them excited.

I sighed.

"…Why is this my family."

But obviously I followed too.

When we reached the top of the stairs we stood outside the door.

And the noises were even louder.

Something fell again.

Jay laughed.

Keif groaned.

Ci n whispered dramatically.

"They're definitely destroying the furniture."

Kuya Angelo looked traumatized.

He slowly raised his hand.

And knocked on the door.

Knock. Knock.

Silence.

Complete silence.

Inside the room everything stopped.

Ci n bit his fist trying not to laugh.

Kuya Angelo knocked again.

"Keif?"

From inside we heard movement.

Then whispering.

Jay whispered something.

Keif whispered back.

Ci n leaned closer to the door.

"This is the most suspicious silence I've ever heard."

Then the door opened.

And Keif stood there.

Hair completely messy.

Shirt half untucked.

Breathing slightly heavy like he just ran a marathon.

Kuya Angelo stared at him.

"…Why do you look like that?"

Keif blinked.

"…Like what?"

Behind him Jay appeared.

Her hair messy.

Holding a pillow.

Looking completely calm.

Ci n lost it.

He turned around laughing silently against the wall.

Keigan walked into the room.

And immediately froze.

"…Oh."

Kuya Angelo pushed past Keif to look inside.

The room looked like a battlefield.

Blankets everywhere.

Pillows on the floor.

The mattress half tilted.

The chair knocked over.

Kuya Angelo looked back at them slowly.

"…Explain."

Jay blinked.

"We were playing."

Ci n wheezed.

"PLAYING WHAT?!"

Jay lifted the pillow.

"Pillow fight."

The entire hallway went silent.

Keigan stared at the destroyed bed.

"…You destroyed the room with a pillow fight?"

Jay shrugged.

Keif rubbed his neck awkwardly.

"It got competitive."

Ci n pointed dramatically.

"THE BED IS BROKEN!"

Everyone looked.

And yes.

The bed frame was slightly crooked.

Kuya Angelo slowly turned toward Keif.

"You broke the bed."

Keif sighed.

"It was already weak."

Jay nodded seriously.

"Very weak."

Ci n clapped slowly.

"Amazing."

Keiran looked excited.

"Can we play too?"

Jay smiled.

"Sure."

Keif immediately shook his head.

"No."

Keigan grabbed a pillow from the floor.

"Too late."

He threw it.

It hit Ci n.

Ci n grabbed another pillow.

"WAR."

Within seconds the room turned into complete chaos.

Pillows flying everywhere.

Keiran screaming.

Ci n tackling Keigan.

Jay laughing while throwing pillows at everyone.

Kuya Angelo standing in the middle of the room looking like he regretted coming to this house.

And Keif?

Keif just stood there watching the disaster.

Then Jay threw a pillow at his face.

He looked at her slowly.

"You started it."

Jay smirked.

"Do something about it."

Two seconds later—

Keif tackled her onto the bed.

Everyone screamed.

Ci n jumped on them with a pillow.

Keigan joined.

Keiran attacked everyone.

The bed creaked loudly.

Kuya Angelo shouted.

"STOP—THE BED IS GOING TO BREAK AGAIN—"

CRACK.

The bed collapsed.

Everyone froze.

Silence.

Complete silence.

Then Ci n whispered.

"…Oops."

Jay started laughing.

Keigan fell onto the floor laughing.

Keiran clapped excitedly.

And Kuya Angelo?

Kuya Angelo slowly walked out of the room.

"…I just arrived and the house is already destroyed."

I leaned against the wall watching the chaos.

And honestly?

This family was completely insane.

But somehow…

It was the funniest morning ever.
