Chapter: The Night Revenge
(Aries' POV — continued right after the morning chaos)
If you think the chaos ended after the bed broke…
You don't know my family.
Because the moment everyone finally stopped laughing, one thing became very clear.
Ci n and Keigan were very proud of themselves.
Very. Proud.
Ci n stretched like he had just completed a mission.
"Best morning ever."
Keigan nodded while still laughing.
"I've never seen Kuya Angelo look so traumatized."
Across the room, Kuya Angelo was sitting on the broken bed frame staring at the wall like he was questioning his life decisions.
"I should have stayed at the hotel."
Jay was still giggling on the floor.
Keif pulled her up and whispered something in her ear.
I noticed something immediately.
Jay's smile slowly turned… dangerous.
Uh-oh.
I know that smile.
That is the "someone is about to suffer" smile.
Keif looked at Ci n and Keigan.
Then at Jay.
Then back at them.
And suddenly he smirked.
Oh no.
I immediately stepped back.
"Whatever you two are planning," I said, raising my hands, "I'm not involved."
Jay looked at me innocently.
"Aries…"
"Yes?"
"You're definitely involved."
"Why."
"Because you're the distraction."
Great.
Just great.
Night Time
The house was quiet.
Too quiet.
Ci n and Keigan were downstairs playing games.
Keiran had already fallen asleep.
Kuya Angelo locked himself in his room to avoid us.
Smart man.
Very smart.
Meanwhile upstairs…
Jay and Keif were whispering like criminals planning a heist.
I stood there with my arms crossed.
"I still don't understand why I'm here."
Jay held up two bottles.
One filled with cold water.
The other filled with whipped cream.
I stared.
"…This is illegal."
Keif grinned.
"No, this is revenge."
Jay nodded.
"For the bed."
I sighed.
"This is going to end badly."
Keif pointed at the stairs.
"Aries, go downstairs and distract them."
"Why me?"
Jay smiled sweetly.
"Because they trust you."
"That's exactly why I shouldn't do it."
Too late.
Jay pushed me toward the stairs.
"Go."
Downstairs
Ci n and Keigan were sitting on the couch playing a game.
Ci n looked up.
"Bro where did you disappear?"
I sat beside them.
"Just… walking."
Keigan squinted suspiciously.
"You never 'just walk.'"
"Wow, thanks."
Ci n handed me a controller.
"Play."
I grabbed it.
Meanwhile…
I could hear very faint footsteps upstairs.
Oh no.
They're already starting.
Ci n suddenly paused the game.
"Wait."
My heart stopped.
"What?"
"Why do I feel like something bad is happening?"
Keigan nodded slowly.
"…I feel it too."
Before I could answer—
SPLASH.
A loud noise came from upstairs.
Then—
"AAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Ci n and Keigan jumped up.
"What was THAT?!"
I already knew.
But before we could move—
Keif's voice shouted from upstairs.
"RUN JAY RUN—"
And then—
THUNDERING FOOTSTEPS.
Jay ran down the stairs laughing like a villain.
Ci n looked at her.
Her hands were covered in whipped cream.
He looked confused.
"Why are you—"
Before he finished—
SPLASH.
Ice cold water poured directly onto his head.
Ci n froze.
Completely.
Slowly…
Very slowly…
He looked up.
Keif was standing on the stairs holding the empty bottle.
Jay pointed dramatically.
"REVENGE."
Keigan burst out laughing.
"Oh my god—"
Before he could finish—
Jay smashed whipped cream directly onto his face.
"YOU'RE NEXT."
Keigan screamed.
"MY HAIR—"
Now Ci n grabbed a pillow.
"Oh it's war again."
Jay immediately ran behind Keif.
"DEFEND ME."
Keif cracked his knuckles.
"Gladly."
Within seconds—
The living room turned into absolute chaos again.
Pillows flying.
Water splashing.
Ci n chasing Keif around the couch.
Keigan trying to wipe whipped cream from his eyes.
Keif laughing like a maniac.
Jay hiding behind me.
"Aries save me."
"I'm not part of this."
Too late.
Ci n tackled all three of us.
We all crashed onto the floor.
Right at that moment—
A door upstairs opened.
Kuya Angelo appeared on the balcony looking down.
He stared at the mess.
Water everywhere.
Pillows everywhere.
Ci n chasing Keif.
Jay laughing.
Keigan covered in whipped cream.
And me stuck under all of them.
Kuya Angelo slowly rubbed his forehead.
"…I'm leaving tomorrow."
Jay looked up and shouted happily.
"GOOD NIGHT KUYA!"
He closed the door.
We all froze for two seconds.
Then Keif whispered dramatically—
"Round two?"
Jay raised a pillow.
"ROUND TWO."
And the war started again.
I swear…
This family will be the death of me.
