Once Aria and Eric arrived to the front of the hospital, Aria quickly got out of the driver's seat and rushed to the hospital doors in order to tell the front desk that there was an emergency.
But strangely, there was nobody at the front desk at all despite the lights being on, and the doors were completely locked.
Panicking, Aria started knocking on the door while shouting out that they need medical help, but no matter what she did, there was just nothing.
'Good grief, this is hard to watch.' Eric shook his head in disbelief as he hopped onto the driver's seat.
Obviously they wouldn't open the doors for Aria late at night even if she claimed there was an emergency since they were a private hospital with no emergency rooms to begin with.
Luckily, he knew how to get their attention.
VROOOM
VROOOM!
The sound of a lamborghini's engine roared loudly multiple times, making Aria jump in shock and quickly turning her head towards Eric.
"Eric! What are you-"
Before Aria could finish her words however, multiple doctors in white lab coats and nurses in blue scrubs all came rushing out, flew past Aria, and went straight to the lamborghini.
"Damn it Mr Porter, do you not know what time it is right now? Why can't you wait till the morning for one of your lackeys to- oh my god!" One of the doctor who approached him first was in the middle of furiously scolding Eric until he looked down the window and saw all of the bloodied bandages wrapped around him as well as the hole in his thigh.
"Quick! Get him onto the stretcher!" The doctor was startled and ordered the nurses and several other doctors in an urgent manner.
Within seconds, they had him on the stretcher and rushed him into the hospital while Aria frantically followed suit.
From there, one of the doctors told Aria to stay and wait in one of the waiting rooms as they gave Eric the emergency care he required and brought him into an operating room.
Aria did as she was told and she patiently waited by getting on her phone.
As minutes passed by, and she saw more and more people rush by the waiting room however, Aria couldn't help but worry even more and put her phone down.
Truthfully, ever since she saw the exclusive portable satellite internet terminal that Eric had lended to her this morning before they went to go meet Celeste, she already had a huge suspicion that Eric was extremely rich.
And while this meant that he got special treatment from lots of places, which is most likely why so many different people are rushing to attend to him right now, she still couldn't help but have her doubts with how injured Eric was.
Just as Aria was absentmindedly staring at the hallways of the hospital in deep thought however, she saw someone who she was familiar with rush by her for a split second before turning back and doing a double take on her.
"Miss Holt? I'm surprised to see you here. What brings you in this late at night?" Dr. Yang slowly approached Aria and gave a polite smile.
"Hello Dr. Yang. I'm here for a friend right now." Aria returned the smile back to him and stated.
"Ah, is that friend of yours Eric Porter by any chance?" Considering that he had received an urgent call late at night while he was at home, requesting his immediate presence in the operating room to attend to a very important patient, Dr. Yang was able to connect the dots easily.
"Yes. How is he right now?" Aria quickly shot her eyes at him with concern.
"I'm not so sure, I haven't gone inside of the operating room myself just yet. But with the amount of people I can see in there, it appears to be very serious. Do you know what happened to him?" Dr. Yang inquired professionally.
Aria quietly looked at Dr. Yang and thought about it for a second before shaking her head in response, "He was already in a pretty messed up state by the time I stopped by his house, so I'm not sure about the details of how he ended up like this."
"That's no problem. We'll still try to help out the best we can. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to help out the others in the operating room. Should the condition of Mr. Porter improve in any way, I'll let you know as soon as possible. Have a good rest of your night, and whenever you can, please deal with your skin cancer as quick as possible before it's too late." Dr. Yang politely ended their brief conversation with a friendly reminder and began walking away from her.
Aria nodded to him and was about to reply back in a friendly manner, when all of a sudden she heard someone stomping loudly while they were walking in the hallways.
Moments later, she saw a female figure with black hair, a face mask, and a large lab coat covering her from the shoulders down to her ankles angrily pass by, only to turn back a split second later and do a double take at her, just like Dr. Yang had done earlier.
This female figure didn't approach Aria however, and just stood there and stared at her weirdly for a couple of seconds.
After that, she make a clicking sound with her tongue and just left as though nothing happened at all.
"Huh, that's weird, I've never seen that doctor before in my life... must be a doctor on contract that usually doesn't visit the hospital." Dr. Yang muttered to himself and then left the waiting room soon afterwards, leaving Aria all alone once again.
Aria didn't really think much of what just happened as well and just waited around as per usual.
Not too long afterwards though...
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Multiple gunshots could be heard echoing inside the operating room where Eric was at.
