Louis' POV
The restaurant wasn't far. It was small, private, and discreet enough for meetings that needed fewer eyes and fewer questions.
Unfortunately, discretion meant nothing when Sydney was involved.
She was an heiress and the kind of woman gossip columns loved. A gossip magnet if you will. Cameras followed her like bees to flowers.
By the time we arrived, it was raining and the weather didn't seem like the one paparazzi would or should work under. I could only hope though.
The meeting itself was strictly business. It should not take long at all. It was simply contracts, overseas expansion, shareholder concerns, numbers I barely had the patience for with my mind still stuck in a hospital room.
Sydney noticed.
Of course she did.
Halfway through discussing projections, she leaned back and smirked. "You've checked your phone fourteen times."
