Oh, I could not believe my eyes. I blinked multiple times like the action would suddenly and magically erase the sight in front of me.
The phone in my hand kept making muffled sounds—I knew Abby was speaking, but I was too zoned out to catch any of it. It sat heavy in my grip, like the weight of what I'd just seen pressed harder into my hands than into my heart.
Louis and Kelsey. The actual Louis, who was the number one enemy of Kelsey, and Kelsey, Aston's girlfriend. His fiancée even.
How the hell was this even real?
Maybe it was just the gossip blogs making up stories.
"Claire…Claire.." I heard Abby call from the phone that felt so distant from my ears as I scrambled through my mind for any reason why this couldn't possibly be true.
It was simply impossible. The timelines did not match, the story, the subjects, none of it…
"Claire," Abby called again, successfully jolting me out of my spiraling thoughts, "Are you alright?"
