Chapter 13 - The Other Woman

Sierra's POV

It's Monday, which means it's a workday.

If I weren't working for my boyfriend, I might be staying at my house instead, trying to rest my body since I just woke up from a coma recently.

Life is so hard yet boring. I'm happy I have Damian.

"Sierra," I heard someone call out my name, so I faced where the sound was coming from.

It's Jules. He's walking towards me, holding two cups of coffee.

"Coffee?" He asked and offered one of them, extending his arm toward me.

"Thanks, I was about to buy one." I took it from him and quickly sipped it.

Ahh. Refreshing.

"You didn't attend the party. I thought you were coming. But your sister told us that you lost your invitation, that's why." He started, leaning beside the desk of mine.

"Yeah, I didn't want to hold my sister back just because I lost my invitation, so I let her attend by herself. She seems to enjoy it." I laughed when I remembered how tipsy Nadia was when she got home early in the morning from the party.

She even met Damian.

I laughed loudly because Nadia felt superior around Damian. She said he's not her boss when they're not at the company, just a little brother who is her sister's boyfriend, which is me, of course.

"You okay? You seem happy. Why is that?' Julian suddenly spoke, which caught my attention.

Oh Em Gee! I forgot he's in front of me. I felt embarrassed laughing to myself. He might think I'm crazy now.

"Ah—Just something good happened in our family recently. Maybe that's why. Ha-ha." I couldn't stop the awkward laugh from escaping my mouth, which made Julian laugh at me instead.

"Why?" I pouted when I asked.

"You're cute when you feel embarrassed." He even put his hand on his stomach like he was laughing out so loud.

Is that so funny? What a weird guy.

"Haha. Sorry. I just can't help but laugh seeing your reaction as you try your best to cover it up." He straightened his posture and fixed himself, trying to stop himself from laughing.

"Just laugh, Julian. You'll feel numb later once I lose my patience." I joked. He just smiled at me and patted me on the back.

"Okay, okay. I'll stop now. I'll go to my desk to do my job. Someone might suddenly throw a punch." He whispered the last part as if he was teasing me.

I just rolled my eyes while watching him walk to his desk.

Look at this guy. He seems mature at first, but his weird side kicks in sometimes.

I continued typing on my computer when I felt someone's presence beside me.

I slowly stopped typing and frowned, looking up where I felt someone, full of curiosity and a little bit of annoyance.

The only reaction I had disappeared when I saw who it was. It was Celeste Moreau, Damian's fiancée.

I felt like I was slapped so hard on my face when I saw her. It reminded me that I was currently the mistress, a homewrecker, the other woman, and Damian's biggest and messiest secret.

I tried my best to hold my tears back. I shouldn't look stupid in front of her, or she will bully me again.

"Are you having a nice time with my fiancé?" she sarcastically asked, then leaned forward and whispered in my ear.

"You sly fox." She pulled back her body and looked directly into my eyes.

I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. I couldn't find any words to say. My body was shaking, and my emotions were in chaos, trying to burst out right now.

And then, a tear dropped on my cheek, not because of fear, but a pain that woke me up from reality.

"Look at her, she's crying already, Celeste." A voice came from behind her. It was someone I had never seen before.

She's pretty and looks expensive, like Celeste.

"I didn't touch her, Mia," Celeste responded without looking at her.

"Sierra, you might want to wipe those tears of yours. People here might think I'm a bad woman bullying you." She said it bluntly with a hint of mockery.

I quickly dried my tears that escaped from my eyes and stood up. I bowed to her, letting her know that I wouldn't fight with her.

She crossed her arms and walked closer to me, making sure no one would hear what she was about to say.

"I'm Celeste Moreau, the heiress of the Moreau Group that will actually be a bigger player in Ravenscroft in the future. How about you? What can you offer Damian? Your body?" Celeste laughed at me.

I didn't respond. I just kept my head bowed and waited for her to finish.

"Excuse me, Miss Moreau. With all due respect, you're an educated person and a highly influential person, aren't you afraid of creating an issue here at Hover Company?" Everyone's attention was caught by Julian. He was now beside me, fighting for me.

I looked at him; he wasn't afraid of what might happen to him after standing up for me.

"Juls, stop it." I stopped him before the situation got out of control.

He just put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him. He smiled at me, assuring me that he wasn't afraid.

Celeste looked at him from head to toe, analyzing his whole living being.

"Know who's really creating an issue here, Mr. Knight in Shining Armor." Mia, who seemed to be Celeste's friend, spoke first.

"Maybe try to look after your girlfriend carefully; she might go to someone else's pants." Celeste smirked, pertaining to my affair with Damian.

I may be a mistress, but they're not official. I may be the other woman right now in their eyes, but Damian was mine first. She's the real homewrecker, not me, and I would never cheat.

"Sierra," my sister suddenly appeared beside me, she put down the bread and coffee she bought and stood beside me.

"Celeste." A firm and threatening voice echoed.

It was Damian; his secretary was following him from behind as he walked towards us.

He looked at me intently, and then looked at Julian's arm resting on my shoulder.

I unconsciously push Julian away from me, fearing I would be misunderstood after what Damian just saw.

"Damian…" Celeste called him. Her voice is sweet and soft, but Damian's gaze was cold.

"If you don't have something better to do, don't start trouble inside my company. Stop being a spoiled brat and get out of my sight." His gaze was scary and he used a menacing tone.

"You can't push me away, Damian. We're getting married." Celeste didn't fear him. Instead, she fought for her rights as a fiancée.

"In your dreams. I won't marry a spoiled bitch like you," he spoke harshly, and in front of everyone.

"You're starting a fight in front of my employees inside my company. Don't you have even a little bit of respect for yourself?" Celeste didn't answer, everyone felt her embarrassment just from looking at her eyes.

Damian looked at me again without changing his expression after he scared Celeste. Then he turned his back and walked away from us.
