Detective Cole was wheeling Mark out when Jenny stepped in.
"Where are you taking me?" Mark asked.
"To the police station since the arrest order from section eight has been revoked," Detective Cole explained.
Jenny pushed him out where a black SUV was waiting for them.
"We will take it from here," a man said to Detective Cole and helped Mark into the car.
Mark's phone chimed.
"Can we drop her off at the manor?" Mark asked the moment the man got into the car.
The man nodded and started the car.
'Being driven around feels weird,' Mark thought as he stared at the driver.
"Wait here," Mark said to Jenny when they got to the manor. He went inside and to his surprise the whole place was spotless.
"Anyone here?" Mark screamed but the only response he got was his own echo yelling back at him.
He went back to the car and accompanied Jenny back into the house.
"Wow, you live here?" Jenny asked.
"Yes, you can stay as long as you like," Mark said.
"Are you sure? We only just met, what if you return and everything is gone?" Jenny asked.
"Please don't, it will be a stressful thing to deal with. Nathan might also fire me," Mark pleaded and Jenny smiled.
"Can you hire stuff if it will not be too much to ask," Mark added.
"Stuff, like what? A chef, housekeepers, a butler," Jenny said.
"Just try hiring people you will need at the moment. Eeerm, hold off in the butler for now," Mark instructed and walked back to the car.
Jenny turned and stared at the building. She ran her hand on the columns in front of the house as she admired it.
She walked into the house and was welcomed by the grand hallway. She walked down staring at old pictures of smartly dressed men.
"When he said Northside, I knew he was rich but I could not imagine this rich," Jenny said as she explored the house.
Meanwhile, Mark was front because he did not feel comfortable at the back.
"I assume Madam Jane sent you," Mark said and the driver nodded.
"Where am I meeting her this time?" Mark added.
"We will be there soon," the driver said.
The front door opened and Mark sat up.
"We are here," the driver said.
'Did I fall asleep?' Mark thought. He looked at the drivers.
"He put me to sleep," Mark whispered.
"Should I give you a minute?" the driver asked.
"No I'm fine. What is your name?" Mark said.
"Bryan, Sir," the driver replied.
"Don't do that again," Mark said and Bryan agreed with a smile.
Mark got out and walked into a garden. He followed a path and arrived at a gazebo. There Jane had beverages and pastries ready.
"Where is Nathan?" Jane asked Mark immediately he saw him.
"Detectives took him away," Mark replied.
"I know, he fell off the face of the earth after they took him," Jane explained.
"I might know where he is headed. I got a notification from Providence but I don't think we can trust it," Mark clarified.
"We may have no choice but to check it out," Jane explained.
"You know that's how the other hunters were killed. Providence lured them into an ambush," Mark cautioned.
"If it's true, it might be our only lead on the Corvus. We will just have to be extra cautious," Jane explained.
