"Is she dead?" Mazikean asked looking at Rowena.
"She will be fine," Corvus replied.
"Where is the hunter and the dark priestess?"
Corvus asked Mazikean.
"I will find them," Mazikean said and jumped off the rooftop. The wind blew up her dress, and the bottom half flew into her face.
Mid-air she she ripped the dress and took it off. She looked down and pinpointed where she was going to land.
She created a low gravitational field and made sure she landed in the field feet first. The moment she landed, she turned and saw a car headed her way.
Before she could react it ran her over. She rolled off the bonnet and hit the roof of the car before hitting the ground.
She watched as the car drove away. Blood pooled around her, her body contorted, lying in front of the driveway.
Minutes later, she started to heal. Her broken legs straightened out and so did her arms. She groaned as she got up then realized she was limping.
"Shit, they broke my heel," Mazikean said and took off her stiletto.
All she had on was a cream bra and a stocking to match. She recreated a low gravitational field and jumped.
With little to no effort she jumped to the roof of the eight-storey building.
"They escaped," Mazikean reported to Corvus.
"Fix your face," he replied.
Mazikean shifted her lower jaw and it snapped back in place. She noticed Corvis was staring.
"What, is something else hanging?" she asked.
"I can see your underwear," Corvus said then walked over to Rowena who was searching for her father.
Mazikean chuckled as she walked over to the elevator.
Meanwhile, in the car on the road back to where he last saw Mark and Jenny. Nathan lamented how Corvus killed people he loved.
"Why not just kill him?" Sara blurted out.
"Don't you think we tried. He is just too powerful," Nathan explained.
"All you need is a weapon that can kill him. Have you heard of the colt?" Sara asked.
"Which cult?" Nathan asked with a frown.
"C..O..L..T, Colt is a gun that can kill almost anything," Sara explained to him.
"Why are you helping me?" Nathan asked.
"Like you, I was being held against my will. I don't think he will let me go peacefully," Sara said to Nathan.
"Where do I find this Colt?" Nathan asked and Sara shook her head.
"We will have to find it," Sara said.
"We? No, you are just a kid this will be dangerous," Nathan cautioned.
"Don't worry about me. I can take care of myself," Sara said.
'I can't go to the hospital. Mark will insist he tags along if he finds out,' Nathan thought.
"I know someone who might know where it is. I just don't know how to reach her," Natha said and stepped on the gas pedal.
Meanwhile, back at the L tower Mazikean approached Corvus fully dressed.
"I'll assemble a team and trap him down," she said to him.
"Don't bother, I will kill two birds with one stone," Corvus looked up and his eyes roamed in their sockets. Mazikean watched quietly.
Miles away in the hospital, Mark was being discharged. As Jenny was pushing him out in a wheelchair his phone dinged.
