"This is all your fault," Mazikean said as she held Nathan up against the wall. The elevator ding and Nathan watched Amadeus walk out.
Mazikean turned and looked at him, but ignored him.
"Let him go," Amadeus walked over and instructed.
"Walk away if you value your life," Mazikean warned.
Amadeus grabbed her by the shoulder and a force made him take a knee. Amadeus struggled to get back up.
Mazikean was focusing on Nathan when Amadeus grabbed her again. She turned and stared at him with wide eyes.
'The only person who might be able to withstand this is,' Mazikean thought and immediately realized who he was.
Amadeus knew she figured it out when he saw the fear in her eyes. Amadeus slowly slung his arm back and clenched a fist.
Mazikean immediately reduced the gravity and Amadeus floated. She punched him and sent him flying.
Before he could slam into the wall at the other end he sprouted his wings. He suddenly stopped and flew back towards Mazikean. She flew away and Amadeus chased her.
Amadeus' wings cut through walls and doors. They flew through the hallway and their combined efforts collapsed the floor.
This set the sprinklers off but not a drop touched her. The water suspended around her and only dropped when she passed.
Amadeus followed close by drying himself with every flap of his wings.
Nathan on the other hand took the elevator and got out of the building as quickly as possible. Minutes after he got out Mark and Martha joined him.
"Corvus?" Mark asked.
"Dead," Nathan replied and Mark nodded.
"Let's get out of here," Mark suggested.
"What about the others?" Martha asked.
"They are professionals, they can take care of themselves," Mark said.
Mark hotwired one of the cars at the parking lot and they drove away.
Meanwhile, Mazikean and Amadeus fought. They threw each other through walls and ceilings. After hours Mazikean's gravity field became less effective.
She leaned against a partially broken wall as she panted.
"What are you waiting for, do it," Mazikean yelled at Amadues when he got closer.
"You are strong, stronger than Corvus. I don't know why you would even think of bowing to someone like that," Amadeus said to her.
She put her arm up and tried to create a gravity field but nothing happened.
"How would you feel ruling by my side," Amadeus squatted and asked.
