"You should be focusing on the backup we brought," Nathan said with a groan.
Mark grunted as the force pinned him to the ground.
"What are you talking about?" Mazikean asked.
"Amadeus, he is here," Nathan explained.
"It does not matter. Sooner or later he was going to kill the other candidates," Mazikean explained.
"Come with me, Corvus would love to kill you himself," she added.
Mazikean eased the gravity field around Nathan and grabbed him. As she walked away dragging Nathan by the arm she turned around.
"Hey, almost forgot about you," Mazikean said and waved her hand. A gust of air knocked him over the edge of the rooftop.
"Noo!," Nathan screamed as she dragged him away.
After they left, Martha ran to the edge and she saw Mark hanging.
"Pull me up," he instructed and she did.
"Sorry, I hid when the demon came," Martha said.
"It's fine. That was the right thing to do," Mark replied as he panted.
Are you done blessing the water?" he asked.
"Yes, what do we do now?" Martha said as she visibly shivered.
"We trigger the sprinkler system," Mark said.
They walked into the elevator. As Mark reached to press the button his hand shook. He grabbed his hand with his left hand and looked at Martha.
"It will be okay," Mark assured her.
He pressed the button for the fourth floor. Mark pulled out two pistols and handed Nathan's to Martha.
"Just point and shoot," Mark advised.
Martha pressed a button and the magazine slid out. It fell into her hand which was already under the handle. She pushed it back and checked the chamber.
"CIA remember?" She said to Mark who watched her surprised. They pointed as they waited for the doors to open.
Meanwhile, as Mazikean paraded Nathan around looking for Corvus. She ran into some of Amadeus' men in the hallway of the fifth floor.
They fired immediately they saw her. Nathan closed his eyes and put his arm up as he tried to shield himself.
He opened his eyes and patted himself. There was no blood or bullet holes. He looked up ahead and the barrage of bullets was floating mid-air.
The three men stared and fired some more. Those bullets too stopped in mid-air just like the others.
Mazikean waved her hand and the floating bullets flew at them. The bullets riddled holes in them and the rest got stuck in the wall behind them.
She walked back to the elevator and hit the up button. It took a while for the door to open. Immediately they walked into and she pressed the button for the seventh floor.
She dragged Nathan out and like before, she roamed the hall checking every room looking for Corvus.
After searching in some rooms, she turned a corner and saw him.
"Corvus," she screamed and ran towards him.
Immediately she let go of Nathan. He ran as quickly as he could to the elevator. She knelt by his side and held him tight as she cried.
"You…you did this," she said and turned to see he was not there.
She got up and wiped the tears off her face. As she walked away from Corvus' body she levitated.
Then as if she was falling she suspended mid-air. Air pressure built up in the hallway, cracking the walls and ceiling.
She blasted off, flying in the hallway. The shockwave shook the building. Nathan mashed the elevator buttons as he waited for the door to open.
As he was waiting, he flew into the wall at the end of the hall. He opened his eyes to see Mazikean pinning him to the wall.
