A man in a van eating a donut watched a beautiful blonde lady enter a bank. He quickly finished his donut, licked his fingers, and chased after her.
"Excuse me, can I get your number?" the man asked when he reached her.
A guard in the bank saw the man get turned down and smiled. The man immediately pulled out a gun.
"Drop it," one guard said pointing a gun at him.
He looked at his colleagues then felt something pressed against his back. Before he could react he noticed his co-workers were in a similar predicament.
They all handed over their guns to the robbers. Another went around collecting every ones phones.
A customer who was recording the whole ordeal pointed her camera at the robbers.
To her surprise, one of them posed for her. She did not have time to be surprised before her phone was snatched and thrown into bad with others.
"Calm down, they just want money. They will not hurt anyone without a reason," the blonde lady said to a man who was sweating profusely.
"Do you not get it? They are not wearing masks, which means we are all dead," the man explained to her.
The woman just stared at him without saying anything.
"I am not dying without a fight," the man said and charged at one of the robbers.
He threw a punch but the robber caught it and then shot him point-blank in the chest.
Some of the hostages turned away from the gruesome sight. Other hostages cried covering their mouths to not draw attention to themselves.
"Twenty seconds," a robber yelled and two robbers ran out of the vaults with two duffel bags strapped on each shoulder.
They ran out into the street and got into a van on the other side. They drove off and about three minutes later the police arrived.
They entered the bank with guns drawn.
"Is everyone all…right," a cop asked just as he saw the body.
About five minutes later detectives Marlowe and Cole arrived. A couple of people were processing the crime scene.
Meanwhile miles away at Payne Manor. Nathan opened his eyes to see Mark standing by his bedside.
He quickly sat up and turned on his bedside lamp.
"What's wrong?" Nathan asked and he just turned around and walked away. Nathan walked to the window and pulled apart the curtains.
The room was instantly bright. Jenny hid under the sheets.
He got out and went downstairs to make coffee when his phone rang.
"Hello," Nathan said when he answered.
"Found a lead on your father's murder," Jane said from the other end of the phone.
"What is the lead?" Nathan asked.
"He was caught on camera robbing a bank," Jane mentioned.
"What?" Nathan yelled.
"Of course it's not him but I'll send Bryan to pick you up," she informed him before hanging up.
'A robbery will definitely be on the news,' Nathan thought, and went to the hall and turned on the TV.
He switched channels looking for any news related to the robbery.
"What were you thinking, she won't let them air it," Nathan said to himself.
He went back to his room and got ready. He stood at the front door and waited for Bryan. In less than thirty minutes he arrived.
"Where are we going?" Nathan asked when he got into the car.
"Baton Rouge," Bryan said as they drove away.
In about an hour, they got there.
"Mr Payne, I'm Claire," a beautiful redhead said and reached out to shake him.
Nathan shook her hand as he looked around. He was about to enter the bank but she stopped him.
"Let the amateurs handle that. There is something you should see," Claire explained.
She escorted him to an alley around the bank. There were pieces of skin and teeth that led them to a sewer.
She handed him a pair of latex gloves and he put them on. He grabbed the slimy skin and rubbed it with his two fingers.
"Human skin?" Nathan said.
"Yes, they were shapeshifters," Claire said with a glimmer in her eyes.
Nathan knew it could not be his dad but he hoped it was. The news of shapeshifters made his heart sink.
