I stared at Haelorian, my mind grasping for the memory, finding nothing but fog. "The mountain?"
"With Blake," Haelorian continued. "You went to retrieve the crystal clear water for the rebonding ritual. You and Blake climbed the mountain together, facing its trials, and you succeeded. You brought the water home."
Images flickered at the edges of my consciousness—snow, ice, the sound of wind howling through peaks—but they were formless, shapeless, impossible to grasp.
"I don't..." I shook my head.
Haelorian's voice was patient, gentle, like a parent explaining something difficult to a frightened child.
"It's alright, Blue. You've been through a trauma. Your mind is protecting itself." He took another careful step forward, his hands raised in a gesture of peace. "Let me tell you what we know."
