Morning sunlight poured over the training field of U.A. High School.
The outdoor gym area buzzed with energy as Class 1-A stretched and warmed up. The fake city training blocks stood nearby, quiet for now, waiting for the day's drills.
Ren stood near the back of the group, lazily rolling his shoulders.
Kaito nudged him with an elbow.
"Dude… you chased a villain across campus yesterday."
Ren sighed.
"She started it."
Across from them, Denki Kaminari grinned.
"Still the coolest thing I've ever seen."
Eijiro Kirishima pumped a fist.
"That was so MANLY, bro!"
Mina Ashido leaned in dramatically.
"And the way she screamed 'Renny Penny!' while running??"
Ren covered his face.
"Please stop reminding me."
Behind them—
Katsuki Bakugo scoffed.
"Idiot can't even stop a psycho girl."
Ren glanced over.
"Do you want to try stopping her?"
Bakugo paused.
"…Good point."
At the front of the field, Shota Aizawa stood with his usual exhausted expression.
Sleeping bag draped over one shoulder.
Coffee in hand.
"Alright."
He took a sip.
"Today's exercise is mobility drills and quirk control."
Students groaned.
Aizawa ignored them.
"No flashy attacks. No property damage. And no—"
He looked directly at Ren.
"—teleporting across the country."
Ren raised his hands defensively.
"That happened one time."
Kaito whispered,
"Three."
Ren elbowed him.
Aizawa sighed.
"Just start running laps."
The class began jogging around the field.
The morning felt normal.
Peaceful.
For about two minutes.
Then—
A dark swirling portal opened beside one of the large gym windows.
A tall figure stepped out first.
Suit.
Mist swirling around his body.
It was Kurogiri.
Behind him stepped two more figures.
Messy pale hair.
Hands covering parts of his face.
Tomura Shigaraki.
And beside him—
Black coat.
Burned skin stapled together.
Blue flames flickering lazily in his palm.
Dabi.
The three villains casually walked up to the gym window like they were visiting a friend's house.
Inside the field—
Kirishima slowed his run.
"…Uh."
Denki blinked.
"…Guys?"
Ren turned around.
And immediately froze.
Outside the glass window were three extremely dangerous villains.
Just… standing there.
Looking inside.
Shigaraki tapped the glass.
Tap.
Tap.
Students stopped running.
Everyone stared.
Aizawa slowly turned his head.
"…Are you serious."
Shigaraki squinted into the gym.
"Which one is Ren?"
Dabi shrugged lazily.
"No clue."
Kurogiri politely adjusted his collar.
"I believe the blond girl described him as 'cute' and 'confused most of the time.'"
Half the class slowly turned to look at Ren.
Ren pointed at himself.
"…Hey."
Shigaraki immediately pointed back.
"That one."
Dabi leaned closer to the glass.
"…Yeah that looks about right."
Ren slowly backed up.
"…Why are you here?"
Shigaraki scratched his neck.
"You made Toga worse."
The entire class blinked.
"…What?"
Dabi spoke next.
"She's stabbing everything."
Shigaraki nodded.
"Tables."
"Chairs."
"Walls."
Dabi continued,
"Twice she tried to stab me."
Shigaraki added,
"And she keeps yelling your nickname."
Ren's eye twitched.
"Please don't say it."
Shigaraki grinned.
"Renny Penny."
The entire class burst out laughing.
Ren collapsed to his knees.
"NOOO."
Outside the window—
Dabi rubbed his forehead.
"She's been like this all night."
Shigaraki crossed his arms.
"Won't stop smiling."
Kurogiri calmly added,
"She also attempted to carve a heart into the couch."
Aizawa walked over slowly.
His scarf already lifting slightly.
"…Why are you telling us this."
Shigaraki shrugged.
"You broke her."
Dabi nodded.
"Fix it."
Ren stood up again.
"HOW DID I BREAK HER?!"
Shigaraki pointed at him.
"You chased her."
Ren threw his hands up.
"Because she's stalking me!"
Shigaraki shrugged again.
"That's flirting for her."
The class was absolutely losing it now.
Denki was on the ground laughing.
Mina had tears in her eyes.
Kirishima slapped Ren on the back.
"Bro you've got villain rizz."
Ren looked like he wanted to disappear.
Aizawa rubbed his temples.
"…I'm dealing with children."
Outside—
Shigaraki stepped closer to the glass.
"Anyway."
"You need to come talk to her."
Ren immediately shook his head.
"No."
Dabi shrugged.
"Then we're leaving."
Shigaraki turned around.
"But if she stabs another couch we're dropping her off here."
Kurogiri politely opened another portal.
"Good day."
The three villains stepped through.
The portal closed.
Silence fell across the gym.
Everyone slowly turned toward Ren.
Mina whispered,
"…You broke a villain."
Denki pointed dramatically.
"YOU BROKE A VILLAIN!"
Kirishima laughed.
"That's honestly impressive!"
Bakugo scoffed.
"Tch. Even villains have bad taste."
Aizawa sighed deeply.
"…Ren."
Ren looked up.
"…Yes?"
Aizawa pointed toward the track.
"Go run."
Ren blinked.
"…Why?"
Aizawa drank more coffee.
"Because if I think about this too hard I'm going to retire."
Ren slowly walked back to the track.
Muttering.
"…This is not my fault."
Behind him—
Kaito grinned.
"Sure, Renny Penny."
Ren screamed.
And somewhere far away…
Inside the villain base…
Toga spun happily in a chair.
Holding a knife.
And whispering dreamily.
"Renny Penny…"
