Saturday morning in the U.A. dorms felt… peaceful.
For once there were no alarms, no rushing for class, no Bakugo yelling in the hallway.
Just quiet.
Ren shuffled down the stairs in socks, half-awake, rubbing his eyes while unwrapping a chocolate bar. His hair stuck up in every direction like he'd fought a pillow in his sleep and lost.
Then he reached the bottom step and froze.
The common room had been transformed.
Blankets were stretched from couch to couch. Chairs were flipped sideways and draped in sheets. Pillows covered the floor like a soft battlefield.
At the center of it all stood a massive blanket fort.
Ren blinked slowly.
"…Whoa."
Inside the fort, Mina popped her head out, grinning.
"Morning, portal boy!"
Denki waved a game controller.
"Movie marathon day!"
Sero added, "Plus games. Plus snacks."
Kirishima raised a fist from inside the fort.
"MANLY FORT ENERGY!"
Ren smiled and crouched down.
"This might be the greatest structure humanity has ever created."
Just as he was about to crawl inside—
The air twisted behind him.
A swirling black portal opened silently in the middle of the room.
Several students froze.
Denki slowly turned.
"…Portal."
From the darkness stepped a tall figure.
Elegant posture. Mist drifting around his shoulders.
Yellow eyes glowing calmly.
Kurogiri.
He stepped out of the portal and looked around the dorm.
Then he looked at the massive blanket fort.
A long pause followed.
"…I see."
Sero leaned over to Kaminari.
"Is he judging the architecture?"
Bakugo shot upright from the couch.
"WHY IS THE VILLAIN BARTENDER IN OUR LIVING ROOM?!"
Mina pointed at Ren.
"Ask him!"
Everyone turned.
Ren blinked.
"Oh—hey Kurogiri!"
The room erupted.
"HEY?!" Bakugo shouted.
"You just greet villains now?!"
Kurogiri inclined his head politely.
"Good morning, Ren."
"Morning."
Ren started to crawl into the fort… then suddenly froze halfway.
"…Oh."
Kurogiri tilted his head slightly.
"…Is something wrong?"
Ren slowly stood up.
"Oh no."
Mina leaned out of the fort again.
"What?"
Ren rubbed his face.
"I forgot a lot of stuff."
Denki blinked.
"…Like homework stuff?"
Ren shook his head.
"No. Important stuff."
Kurogiri waited calmly.
Ren suddenly rushed to the kitchen table and grabbed a sheet of paper and a pen, then ran back and shoved them into Kurogiri's hands.
"Write this down!"
Kurogiri looked mildly surprised but accepted.
"…Very well."
Ren began pacing the room while Kurogiri prepared the pen.
"Okay so first thing."
He pointed upward dramatically.
"There was a scientist."
Kurogiri wrote neatly.
Scientist.
"…Explain."
Ren scratched his head, trying to remember.
"He was trying to capture me."
The room grew quieter.
Mina slowly leaned forward.
"…Capture you?"
Ren nodded.
"Yeah. I think he wanted to experiment on me."
Kurogiri continued writing carefully.
Ren took a breath.
"We fought."
Images flickered faintly in Ren's mind—broken ground, sparks, shouting, flashing lights.
"I almost died."
The room went silent.
Kurogiri paused his pen.
"…And then?"
Ren looked down at the floor.
"There was something called Numeral Override."
Several students exchanged confused looks.
Ren continued slowly.
"I don't really understand it… but when it happened, everything inside me went crazy."
He lifted his hand slightly.
"I used… everything."
Fire.
Water.
Earth.
Shadows.
Energy.
"Every element I could reach."
Kirishima whispered,
"…That sounds intense."
Ren nodded quietly.
"I snapped."
His voice was calm, but heavy.
"And I killed him."
The room stayed silent.
Kurogiri finished writing slowly.
Scientist attempted capture. Ren activated Numeral Override. Multiple elemental manifestations. Target terminated.
Then he looked back up.
"…Understood."
Ren rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Yeah… sorry I forgot that yesterday."
Bakugo stared at him.
"YOU FORGOT KILLING SOMEONE?!"
Ren shrugged a little.
"I've had a weird week."
Kurogiri gestured slightly.
"You mentioned other abilities."
Ren snapped his fingers.
"Oh right!"
He held up his hand.
"My blood."
Everyone leaned away slightly.
Kurogiri prepared the pen again.
"…Go on."
Ren explained,
"If my blood touches someone else's skin… they can't move."
Denki blinked.
"…Like paralysis?"
Ren nodded.
"Yeah."
Kurogiri wrote carefully.
Blood contact causes paralysis response.
Then he looked up again.
"You mentioned another ability."
Ren hesitated.
"This one might not be real."
"Please explain."
Ren thought for a moment.
"It happened during my first week at school."
Everyone leaned in.
"It was lunch."
"Two students were about to start a fight."
Ren demonstrated with his hands.
"They were yelling and getting ready to swing."
Kurogiri continued writing.
Ren looked down slightly as he remembered.
"I didn't yell."
"I just quietly said…"
He mimicked the moment softly.
"…'Stop fighting… you're at school.'"
The room was silent.
Ren looked up again.
"And they did."
Kaminari blinked.
"They just… stopped?"
Ren nodded.
"They hesitated… then backed away."
Kurogiri wrote the note.
Possible vocal command or influence ability.
Ren waved his hands quickly.
"But I'm not sure if that one's real!"
Bakugo crossed his arms.
"You might wanna check that one."
Kurogiri folded the paper neatly once he finished.
He read the notes quietly:
Portal teleportation abilityBlood-induced paralysisPossible vocal influenceMultiple elemental manipulation during Numeral OverrideScientist encounter – lethal outcome
Kurogiri tucked the paper into his coat.
"…You possess an extraordinary range of abilities."
Ren shrugged.
"I thought the portal was the main one."
Mina slowly turned toward him.
"REN."
"Yeah?"
"You might be like… six quirks in one person."
Denki whispered,
"Is that legal?"
Before anyone could answer—
The dorm door opened.
Aizawa stepped inside, looking half-asleep.
He stopped.
His tired eyes scanned the room.
The blanket fort.
The entire class.
Kurogiri standing calmly with a pen.
Ren in the middle explaining powers.
There was a long pause.
Then Aizawa sighed deeply.
"…I'm too tired for this."
Ren raised a hand.
"WAIT Aizawa I remembered more stuff!"
Aizawa slowly rubbed his face.
"…Of course you did."
