Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Star Luo Imperial Family

With a decision already made, Jin Yang pressed a soul tool communicator beside his desk.

"General."

An adjutant in a crisp military uniform quickly pushed open the door and bowed.

Jin Yang handed over the document in his hand, his tone steady and unquestionable:

"Two matters. First, all intelligence concerning this child named Caelus is to be classified as top secret within the Legion, strictly sealed. Until I issue new instructions, specific information regarding his Martial Soul and Innate Soul Power must not be leaked in the slightest."

"Yes!"

The adjutant responded without hesitation.

"Second."

Jin Yang continued.

"Send a copy of this intelligence to Star Luo City via the Imperial Family's dedicated encrypted channel with the fastest speed, to be directly presented for Your Majesty's perusal."

"This subordinate understands!"

The adjutant took the document with both hands, his expression solemn.

He knew what this meant: this child named Caelus had been regarded by the Legion Commander as an important existence that needed to be reported directly to the highest authority.

After the adjutant left with his orders, Jin Yang stood up, walked to the window, and gazed at the continuous Ming Dou Mountain Range in the distance.

He had no intention of personally meeting the child, at least not for now.

Just a Genius. The Star Luo Empire has a vast territory and is never short of Geniuses.

Only those who can truly grow up are the pillars of the country.

"Innate Martial Soul Awakening, time attribute, Innate full Soul Power... indeed a good prospect for a Titled Douluo."

He muttered to himself, his tone carrying a hint of appreciation, but more so a calm based on reality.

"But to grow into a towering tree, the resources and time required are too much."

In his view, providing appropriate compensation and care for such an orphan was the Legion's duty. The Imperial Family might also give some extra attention and investment due to his talent.

But this had little to do with Jin Yang personally, or with the core affairs of the Eighth Soul Master Legion.

He only needed to ensure that this child's intelligence was seen by the right people and kept within controllable limits; that would be fulfilling his responsibility.

As for how far Caelus's future could go, that would depend on his own fortune and... the will of Your Majesty in Star Luo City.

He, Jin Yang, the Douluo, might as well do a favor for now.

In Star Luo City, deep within the Imperial Palace, in an elegant and quiet side hall.

The afternoon sun streamed through the large glazed window, casting dappled shadows on the carpet.

Emperor Xu Jiawei of the Star Luo Empire was not wearing an elaborate Dragon robe, but merely simple casual clothes, leaning comfortably on a soft sofa by the window.

Across from him sat a young girl with purple hair and purple eyes, appearing to be only eleven or twelve years old. Her skin was as white as snow, and her features were as exquisite as the most perfect masterpiece of the heavens. Although still young, her elegant and noble temperament was already taking shape, and every gesture carried an Innate grace.

She was none other than Xu Jiawei's most beloved and trusted younger sister, the Star Luo Princess — Xu Jiujiu.

The Star Crown Martial Soul lineage had become rather thin by their generation, and only the two of them, brother and sister, had successfully awakened the Star Crown Martial Soul.

Therefore, Xu Jiawei had begun to keep Xu Jiujiu by his side from a very early age, meticulously teaching her to handle Imperial affairs and cultivating her ability to stand on her own.

In his Mind and nature, Xu Jiujiu was not only his sister but also an indispensable pillar of the future Empire.

At this moment, Xu Jiawei held the top-secret intelligence about Caelus, which had been urgently sent by the Eighth Soul Master Legion.

He did not hide it from his sister; instead, he handed her the document and calmly summarized the key information within it.

"Oh? Both parents were martyrs of the Eighth Legion, with a clean background, and under the stimulus of grief, he Innately awakened his Martial Soul, which is also a rare time attribute, with Innate full Soul Power..."

Xu Jiujiu's slender fingers gently tapped her chin, and her amethyst-like eyes sparkled with intelligent and keen light.

"Imperial Brother, this is quite an extraordinary prospect. General Jin Yang reporting him directly to you has saved a lot of trouble and also shows his Pay attention to."

Xu Jiawei nodded slightly, looking at his sister's intrigued expression, and smiled, "What, Jiu Jiu, are you interested in this child?"

"Of course."

Xu Jiujiu sat up straight, her face showing a composure and confidence slightly unsuited for her age.

"Such talent, and with a clean background, he is precisely the future pillar the Empire urgently needs to cultivate. If we let him drift or allow other forces to exploit the situation, wouldn't that be our loss? Imperial Brother is busy with myriad affairs every day; why not let Jiu Jiu handle such a minor matter? I will represent the Imperial Family and properly manage our relationship with this little Genius, ensuring his Mind and nature is aligned with the Empire."

Xu Jiawei looked at his sister volunteering, a hint of gratification and consideration flashing in his eyes.

He was indeed busy with government affairs and could not afford to spend too much energy on a Genius who had just begun to show promise and whose future was still uncertain.

Entrusting it to Xu Jiujiu for experience was indeed the most suitable choice at the moment.

"Good, then this matter will be entirely handled by you."

Xu Jiawei did not hesitate long before agreeing, his tone carrying encouragement and trust.

"If you need any resources or encounter difficulties, come to me anytime."

His prompt agreement had its deeper meaning.

Firstly, he believed that with Xu Jiujiu's intelligence and methods, handling the relationship with a six-year-old child would be more than sufficient; it would be an excellent practical experience for her.

Secondly, to take a step back, even if Jiu Jiu ultimately failed to achieve the desired effect, or even messed up in some aspects, it would not be an unacceptable loss for him and the Empire. He had backup plans to salvage the situation, considering it as accumulating experience for his sister.

Even in the depths of his Mind and nature, there was an even more subtle thought.

What if... what if Jiu Jiu really stumbled over a six-year-old child? That would be even more interesting.

That would not only mean Jiu Jiu could learn valuable lessons about the complexities of human Mind and nature, but it would also mean that the child named Caelus, his Mind and nature, wisdom, and methods, might be even more astonishing than his Martial Soul talent.

A child who, at only six years old, could cause the dignified Star Luo Princess to suffer a setback, his future potential and value would likely need to be re-evaluated, and he would be even more worth the Empire's efforts to win over and cultivate at any cost.

In any case, this investment was a sure win in his eyes.

If successful, the Empire would gain a future top-tier powerhouse; even if the process had some twists and turns, it could still temper his sister or unearth a deeper treasure.

"Killing two birds with one stone, excellent."

Xu Jiawei picked up the clear tea beside him, took a light sip, and his gaze, seen through the rising steam, appeared profound and distant.

Of course, the premise was that Caelus was truly that outstanding, capable of outshining Xu Jiujiu, who had been meticulously cultivated by the Imperial Family.

After all, all of this was merely his conjecture. A six-year-old child, no matter how much of a Genius, was still a child. How could he be as much of a Prodigy as he imagined?
