Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Elementary Soul Master Academy

A few days passed in a flash. Caelus stayed secluded in the Listening to Snow Pavilion, spending most of his time using the Death God Meditation Technique to consolidate his Cultivation, occasionally flipping through the books in the separate residence's study to catch up on the common knowledge of this World.

Early this morning, Xu Jiujiu's figure appeared again at the Listening to Snow Pavilion.

"Caelus, prepare yourself. Today, I will take you to the Academy for enrollment."

Xu Jiujiu was still dressed in a purple dress. She clearly loved the color purple, especially when paired with those over-the-knee black stockings, which further accentuated her legs.

Given her status, arranging enrollment, a minor matter, only required sending an attendant to relay the message. Her personal presence undoubtedly demonstrated her high regard for Caelus once again.

Caelus had no objection. After simply tidying his clothes, he followed Xu Jiujiu onto the royal carriage.

The Star Luo Royal Junior Soul Master Academy was located in the most scenic western district of Star Luo City, adjacent to the Imperial City and the residences of several major Families.

From a distance, the Academy looked more like a magnificent manor or a temporary imperial palace.

The tall courtyard walls were built from a mixture of white jade and a certain tough metal, shining with a warm and solid luster.

Above the massive archway hung the royal emblem of the Star Luo Empire—a crown shining with starlight.

Passing through the archway, the interior view suddenly opened up.

On both sides of the wide bluestone path, which resembled a public square, stood teaching buildings, training grounds, and libraries, each distinct in style but all exuding grandeur and heritage.

Shaded by green trees, and dotted with splendid gardens, there were even artificial lakes and rockeries interspersed throughout. The environment was tranquil and elegant, and the concentration of Soul Power was noticeably higher than the outside World, clearly indicating that a large-scale Martial Soul Gathering Formation had been installed underground.

Young Soul Master students wearing uniform, well-made school uniforms could be seen everywhere. Most of them carried the confidence and arrogance characteristic of children of the powerful elite.

Xu Jiujiu took Caelus directly to the most magnificent office building in the center of the Academy and walked straight into the Dean's office.

The Dean was a vigorous-looking old man in his sixties, dressed in the official Soul Master robes of the Star Luo Empire. His epaulets indicated that he was a powerful expert of the Martial Soul Saint Rank.

Upon seeing Xu Jiujiu arrive personally, he immediately stood up, his demeanor respectful yet maintaining the dignity of an elder.

"Princess Your Highness."

"Dean Li, this is Caelus. Starting today, he will be enrolled in your Academy and assigned to new student class one."

Xu Jiujiu was concise.

Dean Li's gaze fell upon Caelus. Sensing his composure, which far surpassed his peers, and the faint Soul Power fluctuations, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes before he smiled and said:

"A talent personally sent by Your Highness, the Academy will certainly nurture him carefully. Please rest assured, Your Highness."

Soon, Dean Li used a spirit tool communicator to summon the homeroom Teacher of new student class one.

That was a kind-faced male Teacher who looked about thirty years old, named Zhou Cheng.

"Teacher Zhou, this is the new student Caelus. He was specially recommended for enrollment by the Princess Your Highness. Take him to the class and settle him in."

Dean Li instructed.

Seeing Xu Jiujiu, Zhou Cheng's expression grew even more respectful, and he quickly agreed:

"Yes, Dean. Please rest assured, Princess Your Highness, I will certainly take good care of student Caelus."

Xu Jiujiu nodded to Caelus:

"Caelus, go with Teacher Zhou now. Cultivate diligently, and if anything happens, you can come find me anytime."

"Yes, Your Highness," Caelus replied calmly.

After watching Xu Jiujiu leave, Caelus followed Teacher Zhou out of the office building.

"Student Caelus, welcome to the Star Luo Royal Junior Soul Master Academy."

As he walked, Zhou Cheng enthusiastically introduced the facilities, his attitude being far too kind for someone addressing a six-year-old child.

"Our Academy is the highest-level Elementary Soul Master institution in the Empire. We have strong teaching staff and complete facilities. Over there is the Mimicry Cultivation Area, which can simulate the best Cultivation environment based on different Martial Soul attributes. Over there is the spirit tool Testing Area; older students will learn basic spirit tool knowledge. The largest building is the library, which houses the most extensive collection of Soul Master theoretical texts within the Empire..."

He spoke non-stop, clearly paying extra attention because Caelus was personally sent by the Princess, showing no neglect due to Caelus's age.

Caelus listened quietly, recording all this information.

Zhou Cheng led Caelus to a brand-new teaching building, went up to the third floor, and stopped in front of a classroom door nearest the staircase.

The sign on the door read new student class one.

Today was the official start of the Academy' semester, and Xu Jiujiu had clearly calculated the timing precisely.

Inside the classroom, more than thirty little sprouts, all around six or seven years old, were already seated.

They were dressed luxuriously, each with a different temperament, but their eyes held the curiosity typical of children their age, along with a hint of untamed arrogance stemming from their superior backgrounds.

Being able to enter the Star Luo Royal Junior Soul Master Academy itself implied an extraordinary background or talent, and those who could enter class one were the cream of the crop, either wealthy or noble.

Under the curious gazes of the other students, Caelus casually found a window seat, as his white hair made him quite conspicuous.

Seeing that Caelus had found his spot, Zhou Cheng walked up to the podium and clapped his hands, quieting the slightly noisy classroom.

"Students, quiet down. Welcome to new student class one. I am your homeroom Teacher, Zhou Cheng. You can just call me Teacher Zhou."

Zhou Cheng smiled, his tone gentle. He had to be gentle; none of the students in this class were simple.

"Next, according to tradition, students will introduce themselves briefly in turn. The introduction should include your name, age, and Martial Soul. If you have already obtained a spirit ring, you can also mention your Soul Power Rank."

Zhou Cheng said.

The self-introductions started from the first row.

The children stood up one by one, announcing their information in voices that were either clear or shy.

"My name is Wang Ming, six years old. My Martial Soul is the Iron Shield, and my Soul Power is Rank seven."

"My name is Xu Xue, six years old. My Martial Soul is the Ice Staff, and my Soul Power is Rank seven."

... Most of the children's Martial Souls were decent Beast Spirits or Tool Spirits, and their Soul Power Rank generally ranged between six and eight, demonstrating good talent and Family heritage.

Soon, it was the turn of a young boy sitting in the middle, who had brilliant golden hair and obvious arrogance in his eyes.

He stood up straight, his voice booming: "Dai Huabin, six years old. My Martial Soul is the White Tiger, and my Soul Power is Rank nine."

The White Tiger Martial Soul. A low gasp arose from below the stage, and the gazes directed at Dai Huabin were filled with awe and envy.

A direct descendant of the Duke of White Tiger's mansion, his status was noble, and his Martial Soul was powerful.

Immediately following, a black-haired little girl sitting next to Dai Huabin stood up. She had a delicate appearance, and the most unique feature was a pair of slightly trembling black cat ears on top of her head.

"Zhu Lu, six years old. My Martial Soul is the Hell Civet, and my Soul Power is Rank eight."

The Hell Civet, from the Duke of Netherworld lineage which had intermarried with the Duke of White Tiger's Family for generations. The appearance of Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu immediately established the core circle of class one.
