Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Two Years of Time

Following Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu, a pair of twin sisters with almost identical appearances and long, light blue hair stood up, holding hands, their voices synchronized and melodious:

"Lan Susu, six years old, Martial Soul Hair, Soul Power Rank eight."

"Lan Luoluo, six years old, Martial Soul also Hair, Soul Power Rank eight."

Hair Martial Soul? This peculiar Martial Soul also caused some whispering.

Caelus listened quietly. When the names and Martial Souls of Dai Huabin, Zhu Lu, and the Lan sisters were announced, a barely noticeable ripple finally appeared in his calm eyes.

'Dai Huabin, Zhu Lu, Lan Susu, Lan Luoluo... I didn't expect the future elites of Shrek Academy to be my classmates now.'

However, he quickly felt relieved.

Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu came from the two most prestigious ducal Families in the Star Luo Empire. It was natural for them, being close to his age, to enter this top Royal Academy. Since they had not yet obtained their first spirit ring, their Soul Power Rank was their Innate Soul Power.

Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo, who would later receive a recommendation letter from the City Lord to enter Shrek, clearly also possessed considerable background in the Star Luo Empire.

The reality of this World was precisely this: powerful Martial Souls often relied on Bloodline Legacy. Although Geniuses occasionally appeared among commoners, the majority of Soul Masters, especially high-Rank Soul Masters, mostly came from Soul Master Families and major Sects.

The theory of Bloodline superiority was a blatant truth here.

Soon, it was Caelus's turn, who was sitting in the back row.

He slowly stood up and spoke calmly under the gaze of all his classmates:

"Caelus, six years old, Martial Soul Regent of Time, Soul Power Rank twelve."

As soon as the three words "Rank twelve" came out, the entire classroom instantly fell into dead silence.

All the children, including Dai Huabin, who had previously looked arrogant, were filled with shock and disbelief.

Six years old, Rank twelve?

This meant he not only had Innate full Soul Power but had also successfully absorbed his first spirit ring.

Among the freshmen who were generally still struggling to reach Rank ten, he stood out like a crane among chickens.

A look of 'just as expected' flashed in Teacher Zhou Cheng's eyes, and he regarded Caelus even more highly.

Caelus ignored the astonished, curious, and even slightly jealous gazes, and sat down calmly.

He knew that in this Academy, in this class gathering the future powerful figures and elites of the Empire, his Academy life was destined not to be peaceful.

Two years flew by. On the tree-lined avenue of the Star Luo Royal Junior Soul Master Academy, a familiar sight was Caelus being surrounded by several young girls.

Caelus had grown slightly taller. He still had his signature short silver hair and calm, fragmented golden eyes, but much of his childishness had faded, replaced by a composure and reserve far exceeding his peers.

The Soul Power fluctuations faintly emanating from him had already reached Rank twenty-four.

Such a speed of Cultivation was truly astonishing in the entire Elementary Academy.

At this moment, three young girls were chirping around him.

To his left were the inseparable sisters, Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo.

Two years later, the twins had grown even more delicate. Their light blue long hair was styled into neat buns, and their personalities remained lively and cheerful, like two little skylarks.

They were practically the most popular students in the Academy, able to get along with all their age-group peers thanks to their cute appearance and cheerful personalities.

But the one they clung to the most was always Caelus.

"Big Brother Caelus, I think I'm starting to get the hang of the Soul Power micro-control technique you taught yesterday."

Lan Susu gestured excitedly.

"Me too, me too! I feel like my control over my hair is much more precise."

Lan Luoluo quickly agreed, her two big eyes sparkling as she looked at Caelus, full of admiration.

To Caelus's right was a girl dressed in sharp, fitted attire with short golden hair, giving her a heroic appearance.

Her features bore a faint resemblance to Xu Jiujiu. She was precisely Xu Yun, the youngest daughter of the current Star Luo Emperor, Xu Jiawei.

As the third direct descendant of the Star Luo Imperial Family to undergo the Awakening of the Star Crown Martial Soul in recent decades, she was deeply cherished. However, her personality lacked the gentleness of a princess; instead, she had been a tomboy since childhood.

Xu Yun was one year younger than Caelus, and due to her aunt Xu Jiujiu, she had known Caelus for a long time.

Ever since Caelus enrolled, using absolute strength and... well, partially benefiting from Xu Jiujiu's occasional concern, he quickly subdued most of the arrogant boys in his grade and even the higher grades, becoming a prominent figure in the Academy whom no one dared to provoke. That's when Xu Yun set her sights on him.

In her words:

"I'm going to join the army and become a great general someday, so I need to watch how you make those conceited guys obedient."

Caelus was quite helpless about this.

What could he say?

Should he tell this little princess that it was mainly due to having hard enough fists, plus the invisible deterrence created by her aunt, that great Buddha, occasionally showing up?

But for the sake of the little rich woman Xu Jiujiu's Face, he tacitly allowed Xu Yun to follow him, treating it as taking a curious baby to experience life and letting her satisfy her urge to be a boss commanding subordinates.

Sure enough, Xu Yun was currently standing with her hands on her hips, commenting with a condescending air:

"Caelus, the way you handled those high-grade students who provoked you yesterday was still too gentle. If it were me, I would definitely make them run a hundred laps around the training ground."

Her demeanor caused a sturdy-looking little boy of similar age next to her to nod repeatedly, his eyes full of admiration.

This little boy was Dai Huabin's younger brother, Dai Luoli. Somehow, he had become Xu Yun's number one sycophant, constantly revolving around her, showing concern, and serving her tea and water, seemingly enjoying every moment.

Speaking of Dai Huabin, the legitimate son of the Duke of White Tiger, he was undoubtedly Caelus's biggest "rival" during these two years.

Dai Huabin's talent was equally astonishing. In two years, his Soul Power had also approached Rank twenty, which was absolutely top-tier.

However, the arrogance in his heart had been shattered by Caelus over these two years.

A total of seventeen times!

Dai Huabin had challenged Caelus seventeen times in total.

He had tried everything, from simple fisticuffs initially, to using Martial Soul Abilities, and then strategic maneuvering.

But the result was always the same—defeat.

What was even harder for Dai Huabin to accept was that in all seventeen battles, he couldn't even force Caelus to use his mysterious first Spirit Ability.

Caelus merely relied on the Wind of Time to manipulate air currents, his talent for predicting the future, coupled with his solid Soul Power foundation and combat awareness, to neutralize all of Dai Huabin's attacks invisibly.

"Force out his first Spirit Ability."

This had almost become Dai Huabin's obsession over the past two years.

He failed again and again, yet challenged again and again, the unwillingness and stubbornness in his eyes growing stronger each time.

He had tried almost every method, except attempting to use the Martial Soul Fusion Ability with Zhu Lu.
