Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Istaroth's Concern

The dormitory area is located behind the teaching area and also consists of four buildings, with colors corresponding to the four grades.

It is worth noting that the dormitory buildings do not strictly separate male and female buildings but instead adopt a mixed mode.

In each six-story dormitory building, the lower three floors are the male section, and the upper three floors are the female section.

The academy explicitly stipulates that males are strictly forbidden from entering the upper three floors of the female section; otherwise, they will be severely punished, and in serious cases, they may even be directly expelled.

On the way to the dormitory building, when passing by a huge Soul Tool screen, Caelus glanced at it casually; it was scrolling through the list of class teachers for each new student class.

At the top of the list was: new student class one, Class Teacher Zhou Yi.

Seeing this name, Caelus's gaze paused slightly, then he moved it away calmly, not even bothering to look at who the class teacher of his own class, Class Six, was.

"Zhou Yi..."

He chuckled.

He was no stranger to this name.

A fanatic who believed in Yu Xiaogang's twisted theories, her teaching methods were brutal and extreme—endless running, weighted running, believing that "not daring to cause trouble is for the mediocre," and even thinking that students who hadn't fought after the start of school were weak and incompetent, often using expulsion as a threat.

Who knows how many students with good talent but cautious or introverted personalities were ruthlessly kicked out of Shrek Academy just because they didn't fit her "wolf-like" standards, or didn't completely obey her orders.

As a teacher, failing to properly guide students and fulfill her duties, instead kicking students she deemed unqualified out of the academy—such a person could hardly make Caelus feel any goodwill.

Unfortunately, her husband was Fan Yu, the Vice Dean of the Soul Tool Department, a highly respected Level 8 Soul Engineer.

The higher-ups of Shrek Academy mostly tolerated Zhou Yi's reckless behavior out of respect for Fan Yu's Face.

Caelus knew his own personality very well; he dared not guarantee that he could always maintain restraint under the unreasonable high pressure and provocation of Zhou Yi.

And as a student, once a direct conflict with a teacher occurred, regardless of right or wrong, it would be extremely disadvantageous for him.

"Not being assigned to Class One can be considered avoiding some trouble."

He felt relieved in his heart.

As for after the Freshman Assessment... he remembered that in the original work, it was because Huo Yuhao's team won the freshman championship that Zhou Yi was able to serve as the Assistant Class Teacher of new student class one when classes were reorganized, assisting Wang Yan.

"Then, as long as the team I am in wins the championship during the Freshman Assessment, that will be enough."

A sharp light flashed in Caelus's eyes.

As long as he held the championship firmly in his hands, this troublesome woman would naturally have no interaction with him.

Thinking of this, he stopped paying attention to the Soul Tool screen, took his key, and walked towards the white freshman dormitory building.

The white freshman dormitory building was already in sight.

Right at the entrance of the building, a reclining chair was placed casually, and on it lay an old man with white hair and beard, his Face covered in wrinkles.

His eyes were slightly closed, his aura was weak, and he was dozing in the afternoon sun, looking like a person in the twilight of his years, on the verge of death, very much like a common old gatekeeper.

However, Caelus's footsteps paused almost imperceptibly.

He recognized this old man—or rather, he knew the old man's true identity.

Dragon God Douluo Mu En, master of the sea gods pavilion of Shrek Academy, one of the few Level 99 Limit Douluo in the world today, a figure who could be called a pillar of stability.

However, knowing was one thing, but Caelus had no intention of going up to talk or deliberately currying favor.

He knew that at Mu En's level, any deliberate behavior would appear clumsy; letting things take their natural course was the best way to interact.

His expression remained normal, like any ordinary student seeing a strange old man, just sweeping his gaze over calmly, and then prepared to enter the dormitory building with Ye Guyi and the Lan sisters.

Ye Guyi, Lan Susu, and Lan Luoluo also curiously glanced at the old man, but seeing that the other party seemed to be sleeping, they withdrew their gazes and did not disturb him.

This was the reaction a normal person should have.

However, just as Caelus was about to step into the entrance, a lazy yet ethereal voice resounded directly in the depths of his mind:

["That old man... is very strong, much stronger than that High Priest you saw in the Star Luo Empire, but... he is dying."]

It was Istaroth's voice.

Caelus's forward pace did not pause in the slightest, and no abnormality could be seen on his Face, as if he hadn't heard anything.

But on a mental level, he responded with a hint of teasing:

["Eh? Istaroth, did the sun rise from the west today? You're actually not slacking off and even took the initiative to remind me?"]

Inside the mental space, it was as if there was an independent time and space.

The figure with a divine and ethereal temperament, silver hair and golden eyes, stretched languidly, indifferent to Caelus's teasing, and said indifferently:

["Looking at your reaction... it seems I did something unnecessary; you knew all along."]

Hearing Istaroth's words, which carried a hint of "consider me meddlesome," Caelus laughed in his heart and responded sincerely:

["How so? I am very happy that you can take the initiative to care about me and worry that I might inadvertently offend a strong person, really."]

He understood Istaroth's personality.

As the Regent of Time, she had no motivation for most things, usually remaining in a "lurking" state, and rarely took the initiative to communicate with him.

So much so that Caelus often forgot that such a "tenant" lived in his mental space.

The fact that she could take the initiative to remind him now was clearly because she had perceived Mu En's terrifying strength, which was restrained but as deep as an abyss, and she was afraid that Caelus, being young and vigorous, or due to ignorance, might offend the other party and invite unnecessary trouble.

This subtle action made Caelus feel that these many years of getting along were not in vain; this Regent of Time, who seemed indifferent to everything, was not completely devoid of emotion.

Istaroth did not say anything more about Caelus's thanks, just gave a soft hum, and that divine figure slowly faded away again, returning to the tranquility that belonged solely to her, continuing her "slacking off" grand cause.

The corners of Caelus's mouth lifted imperceptibly, and he stopped disturbing her.

He held the key, followed the room number instructions on it, stepped into the dormitory building, and began to search for his own room.

And at the dormitory entrance, on the reclining chair, Mu En's slightly closed eyelids seemed to move extremely slightly, or perhaps, it was just an illusion caused by the wind blowing past.

He remained as if asleep, quietly bathing in the sunlight.

According to the room number marked on the key, Caelus soon found the dormitory on the third floor.

He opened the door with the key, and what came into view was a double room that was not spacious, but clean and tidy.

At this moment, a chubby, agile figure was holding a rag, vigorously wiping the window sill.
