Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: Changes

Chapter 61: Changes

Andrea rushed toward Caesar's stone house. Just as she was about to enter Caesar's yard, she was stopped.

T-Dog blocked Andrea's path. "Andrea, I can't let you in."

Andrea pushed T-Dog's arm aside in disbelief. "T-Dog, do you know what you're saying?"

"I know exactly what I'm saying." T-Dog looked at Andrea seriously, his expression stern, without any hint of joking.

"Go back, Andrea."

Seeing that T-Dog wouldn't budge, Andrea glanced at the two team members standing behind him, assessed the balance of power, and realized she couldn't force her way through.

Then there was only one option.

Andrea walked a few meters away and shouted loudly, "Amy! Amy! Where are you? Come out and see me!"

"Shut up, Andrea."

T-Dog strode forward menacingly and lunged at Andrea, immediately pinning her to the ground.

Andrea lay on the ground, continuously kicking backward at T-Dog with her feet.

"You son of a bitch, T-Dog. We used to risk our lives together in Atlanta, and now you're stopping me from finding Amy for your new boss, you bastard."

Before Andrea could curse any further, the other two guards ran over and stuffed something in Andrea's mouth.

Andrea was furious and humiliated. She wanted to curse but couldn't speak, wanted to fight but couldn't win, and could only glare at T-Dog in rage.

After T-Dog tied Andrea up with rope, he said irritably, "Damn it, Andrea, have you lost your mind?"

Andrea's facial muscles tensed as she glared viciously at T-Dog.

T-Dog didn't get angry. He just picked up Andrea, wanting to take her away. "Amy's fine. Nobody forced her. She did it willingly."

Andrea seemed to have suffered some tremendous insult. She suddenly jerked, broke free from T-Dog's grip, and fell solidly to the ground with a pained grunt.

This actually made T-Dog laugh.

The wooden door of the stone house opened, and Amy walked out wrapped in a robe. One look at her disheveled appearance made it obvious she'd just been lying in bed.

"Andrea." Amy walked over quickly, looking at the bound Andrea, then at T-Dog standing nearby. "T-Dog, can you tell me what's going on?"

Before T-Dog could answer, Andrea started struggling, the look in her eyes as she stared at Amy filled with disappointment.

Amy glanced at Andrea, not quite understanding the meaning in her eyes, and could only look at T-Dog.

T-Dog answered, "Andrea tried to force her way into the stone house. Without the boss's permission and without legitimate business, I couldn't let her in."

"She wouldn't listen to reason, so I could only tie her up."

Amy nodded in understanding and looked down at Andrea. "Andrea, this is your fault. Did you come here for something?"

As she spoke, Amy removed the gag from Andrea's mouth, allowing her to speak.

"Why are you in Caesar's house?" Andrea was extremely angry. Her usually obedient sister—why would she do something so outrageous?

"Because I want to be with Caesar." Amy said it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

The sincerity in Amy's words left Andrea speechless. All the reprimands and lectures she'd planned somehow couldn't come out.

Andrea paused for a while before speaking. "You've only known Caesar for a few days. Are you really being this rash?"

"But aren't you the same?" Amy tilted her head, looking at Andrea with confusion.

After going to college, Amy often saw Andrea and knew her usual style—she was very open about relationships. But now her own serious choice of a partner seemed frivolous to her sister?

Andrea couldn't say another word. Her face flushed red, not from anything else but from shame, feeling that she hadn't set a good example for her sister.

"You should just go accept your punishment." Amy had already understood Andrea's purpose in coming. She stuffed Andrea's mouth again and looked at T-Dog. "I'm done asking questions. You can take Andrea to receive her punishment now."

T-Dog nodded blankly. He'd thought Amy would exercise her authority as the boss's woman and force him to release Andrea, but he hadn't expected Amy to be so reasonable.

Amy turned and walked away without looking at Andrea again. She felt that mistakes should be punished, and as for what counted as a mistake, that was naturally determined by the ranch rules Caesar had established.

Andrea didn't struggle or cause more trouble. She was just led away in a daze to find Carol, who assigned her hard labor with no compensation, only basic meals.

When Amy returned to the house, she removed her robe and tightly embraced Caesar, burying her head in his chest and taking a deep breath, her face showing an adorable expression.

"If you don't want Andrea doing hard labor, I can let her go." Caesar looked at Amy's attached expression and amusedly pinched her soft, bouncy cheeks, making the suggestion.

Amy squinted her eyes, enjoying Caesar's touch like a little kitten, and shook her head, opening her azure eyes. "Andrea needs to learn to accept the new rules."

Andrea used to be a lawyer, skilled at finding loopholes in rules. But the ranch didn't need someone who exploited loopholes—it needed people who worked. She couldn't just use her mouth.

Amy wanted Andrea to accept the ranch's current situation as quickly as possible so she could survive.

People who didn't accept reality couldn't possibly survive in the apocalypse.

"All right, all right."

Caesar had no intention of testing Amy. A little willfulness with power was still permissible, and this matter itself had no major impact.

Just as Caesar was about to get dressed to go out and handle business, Amy looked up at him with a flushed face, her azure eyes bright and shining, filled with hope as she said hesitantly:

"Um, um, I still want more. Can we?"

Amy was like a greedy little kitten, clearly wanting it but incredibly shy.

Caesar smiled and touched his nose to Amy's little nose, asking in a gentle tone, "Is once enough? Should we go for two rounds?"

"Ah!" Amy exclaimed, then showed a delighted expression. "We can?"

"Little glutton!"

After another passionate session, nearly an hour had passed.

Caesar looked at the time—he was already running late. He quickly changed clothes, but just as he was about to put them on, Amy's small hand grabbed him.

"What's wrong?"

"Don't wear that, wear this." Amy pulled a set of clothes from Caesar's closet, clearly carefully coordinated.

Caesar looked at the closet. What had only been somewhat organized before now had every piece of clothing neatly folded and sorted by season and outfit combinations, looking much more pleasing to the eye than before.
