On a dark and freezing night, a child was born into the Novera family, but fate did not grant him a peaceful life like other children. His family named him Tenebras.
When Tenebras reached the age of five, an unknown group attacked the house where he lived and abducted him along with his mother, Gianna, to a dark cave in the mountains.
Inside the cave, the group lit candles and drew a large circle on the ground, inside which was a pentagram surrounded by strange lines.
Tenebras did not understand what was happening, but he felt danger slowly approaching.

Tenebras came out, but the creature was approaching them.

The creature laughed darkly and said:

It approached Tenebras to destroy him, but suddenly stopped, as if something was pulling it back into the child's body.

Tenebras' blood began to swirl inside his body like a dark vortex, and then the creature shrank into one of the fingers of his hand, as if it were locked inside a hidden seal.
Tenebras woke later to find his mother on the brink of death.
He ran toward her, held her hand, and Gianna began whispering some secrets he must know before she passed away.
Tenebras stayed inside the cave for three days, grieving his mother, and his heart carried a deep hatred toward the group that killed her and toward his family that did not move to save her.
He buried his mother inside the cave, then left on the third day with his heart filled with sorrow and a desire for revenge.
Tenebras entered a dense forest without knowing where his steps were leading until exhaustion overcame him and he fell to the ground.
An old man lived in a castle in the middle of the forest named Silva. When the old man went out to gather firewood, he found the boy lying on the ground and took him to his castle.
When Tenebras awoke, he found the old man looking at him with deep sadness, but he refused to speak about his story.

Tenebras stayed several days in the castle. The old man was calm and mysterious in his behavior.
While wandering inside the castle, Tenebras found a large library. The old man told him it was an ancient library containing a huge number of books, some of which dated back to the era of the old kingdom of Salimar.
Tenebras' goal was revenge and gaining power, but he did not allow his grief over his mother to stop him.
He transformed his sorrow into a desire for strength and began on the first day by reading six books, then doubled the number each time.
