13. The War With The Neighbouring Domain [2]
John stood before the inescapable maze that Revet created. His eyes widened in shock.
"What a crazy bastard." John paused. "Who would have thought there was an actual maze behind the dark mist?"
"Master!" Leonna rubbed his chest slowly.
"What's the plan now?" she asked softly.
"We brute force our way through." He turned towards her. "I give you permission to use it."
"Are you sure?" she asked.
He smirked, placing his fingers on his specs. "Of course."
Her spirit energy erupted violently as she levitated into the sky.
"De—" she stretched forth her hands. "Vouerer!"
A huge dark mouth with sharp teeth appeared underneath the maze.
Gulp....
It swallowed it whole.
"Hmmm, hummy." She licked her dark lips with a grin on her face.
Over at the surveillance tower—
"One of the enemy's summons has been confirmed to be a shadow elf who has a pact with an abyssal creature." Shina paused.
"The defense squadron should be cautious when dealing with her."
What remained of the maze was nothing but an empty field.
"Advance!" John exclaimed loudly.
To their surprise, behind the destroyed maze stood a huge ten-feet-tall wall with a reinforced metal gate.
"Kex!" John exclaimed, looking at the green-haired humanoid figure.
"I'm on it."
He grew into a twenty-feet-tall giant. He was most likely the one the intel squadron saw during their operation.
He punched the gate.
Bam!
His attack was parried by Kaimaroth using one of her fingers.
"Big guy!" she exclaimed. "You better watch where you are pointing that fist of yours."
Kex quickly took a step back.
"This smell.... you reek of abyssal energy, little miss shadow elf-san." Asmaroth whispered into Leonna's leafy ear.
"Where did she come from?!"
She launched a shadow slash, creating distance between her and Asmaroth.
Asmaroth glowed under the moonlight, like it was shining for her and her alone. Her pale skin, barely covered by any clothes, drew John's attention.
"What a beautiful work of art." He exclaimed lustfully. "Why don't you abandon your master and come with me instead?"
Asmaroth smiled.
"Oh, that's a nice offer." She stared at him with crimson eyes filled with disdain. "But unfortunately, you aren't my type." She exhaled softly. "So I will have to reject your offer."
"You scum of a man! Who gave you the right to gaze upon my sister's unpeerless beauty, huh?" Kaimaroth exclaimed violently.
John laughed.
"Hahahaha." He paused. "I guess I'll have to take you by force." He looked upwards at Kaimaroth. "I'll have you watch as I fuck your helpless sister."
"Fubuki, we have placed the chess pieces. You can now begin," Kaimaroth stated boldly.
Leonna looked around her, noticing chess pieces placed strategically around them.
['When did they set this up?']
"Ok!" Fubuki said telepathically. "Chess technique, column one: play off."
Blue lights emerged simultaneously from the chess pieces, and in an instant John and his army vanished.
Whoosh—
"Where am I?" the elven knight asked.
"I--in a se--sec--section of a che--chess bo--board," Hona answered shyly.
Currently in section 1 were Hina and the elven knight.
Over at section 2—
"Oh, we got paired." Asmaroth exclaimed softly.
"Fucking bitch! I'm going to batter you up so badly that no man will ever be attracted to you again!" Leonna said violently.
"Oh my!" Asmaroth exclaimed sarcastically.
In section 3—
"I'm not going to go easy on you because you are a lady," Kex said abruptly.
"Do as you wish, big guy!" Kaimaroth exclaimed loudly.
At the final section, Duran and Aria stood in front of John and his elven army.
"So you split us up." John smirked. "You must be afraid of our combined might, but it is quite foolish of you to think that just the both of you is enough to combat an army of forty-eight epic-grade elven summons."
"You are really confident, huh?" Duran scoffed. "I can't wait to see the look on your face when the army you are so proud of gets pulverized."
"I hope this battle doesn't end quickly." Aria glared at him. "Don't disappoint us."
In section 1, the battle was about to begin.
"I always ask the name of my opponents," the elven knight exclaimed loudly. "My name is Frax. Young lady!... What's yours?"
"Eekkk.." Hona exclaimed. "I'm Ho--Hona. Ni--Nice to--to meet you."
To Frax, she seemed like an easy opponent.
He vanished into thin air and reappeared behind her, striking with his sword.
"My bad. I didn't know the fi--fight has started."
She leaped upwards, dodging his attack.
She drew a sword out of thin air.
"Here I co--come!"
She swung the sword with precision.
Frax barely managed to dodge.
"From how her muscles are built, she doesn't look like someone proficient with the sword... but from the way she is attacking, she is skilled... probably more skilled than me... and she barely leaves any openings."
He thought to himself.
"Sword Arts: Millennium Cluster!"
He launched several slashes at once.
But she deflected all of them.
In that instant, he appeared behind her and struck.
His eyes widened when he realized he had only hit an afterimage.
"Azure Blade Technique, Wing Seven: Point Blank—"
She crouched against the ceiling.
"Strike!"
In the blink of an eye, she appeared behind Frax.
Drop!
"I never had a chance to begin wi—"
His body split into countless pieces.
She waved at the ceiling, which served as a sign for Fubuki to monitor the battlefield.
"She is still as cruel as ever," Iris exclaimed softly.
Over at the final section—
An elven archer began to vomit blood as she emitted an eerie aura.
"It is finally time," John exclaimed.
The space fell silent.
"What is this uneasy feeling?" Aria exclaimed.
Red bloody muck emerged from the elven archer, reshaping into something else entirely.
Devil-like wings, unhinged claws ,crooked limbs , a hole in its stomach and two huge curved horns on its head. It like something that was only supposed to exist in nightmares.
"It's a Class 4 Ravter Abomination!" Entria exclaimed.
"Fubuki!" she called out.
"I'm already sending reinforcements," Fubuki replied.
"How many souls did they sacrifice to birth such a high-class Abomination?" Dina said with a disturbed tone.
Duran smiled.
"Class 4 or not, I'm going to burn you to cinders regardless."
"You all are doomed now." He laughed unpleasantly. "Hahahaha. If you beg now I might make your deaths less painful." John stated boldly .
Slam!
Cassie appeared sending the Ravter Abomination flying with her bare fists.
"You called for backup."
She crouched her fist.
