Umbra's Seal Workshop – Deep Inside the Wine Cellar
The Dolermo Wine Cellar – The Gate to Darkness
In the back courtyard of the Dolermo estate, an old moss‑covered stone staircase led downward.
The cellar door was rusty, the wood cracked, as if it hadn't been opened in years.
Vanessa — still wearing the Black Raven mask — stopped in front of the door.
Her eyes stared into the darkness.
"Wolfwood… this place… I have a bad feeling."
Andras nodded.
"With good reason. Umbra worked here. This is where he made the seals. And where he summoned the demons."
Vanessa clenched her fist.
"Then it's time to end this."
Andras stepped forward and slowly pushed the door open.
The hinges screeched loudly.
A cold breath of darkness swept out from the depths.
The Team in Position – Everyone at Their Post
Before entering, Andras activated the stat‑lens and checked the team's positions.
Andrea and Eris Scarlett – on the rooftops above the cellar
The two Wolf Knights had already taken their positions.
Andrea sensed the area with the wind, while Eris Scarlett sent light signals whenever she spotted movement.
Anita and Ironclaw – in the sewers
They advanced through the darkness of the tunnels.
The sound of water and distant rumbling signaled that something was moving below.
Fireburp and Ersi – at the cellar's back exit
The two young fire mages watched the exit.
Fireburp had already asked three times when she could blow something up.
Ersi had told her three times: not now.
Noelle – at Wolf Lodge
The half‑elf girl guarded the inn, healing supplies ready.
Andras nodded with satisfaction.
"Everyone is in position. We can begin."
Vanessa placed her hand on her sword.
"Let's go, Wolfwood."
Inside the Cellar – The Labyrinth of Seals
The wine cellar was deep — much deeper than anyone expected.
Old wine barrels lined the walls, but each one was painted with black seals.
The air was cold.
The darkness thick.
Magic vibrated everywhere.
Vanessa touched one of the seals.
"This… is shadow magic. Strong. Very strong."
Andras nodded.
"Umbra summoned demons here. These seals… are traps."
The crystal in his eye glowed faintly.
A flash:
a seal explodes,
Vanessa is thrown back,
Andras raises a shield,
the cellar wall cracks,
shadows burst forth.
The vision vanished.
Andras stepped in front of Vanessa.
"Don't touch anything. These will activate."
Vanessa nodded.
"Alright, Wolfwood. You lead."
The Heart of Darkness – Umbra's Seal Workshop
A vast chamber opened at the deepest point of the cellar.
A circular seal glowed on the floor in black and red light.
Shadows moved along the walls — as if they were alive.
In the center of the room stood a table covered with:
demon‑summoning parchments,
blood‑written symbols,
black crystals,
and a large, cracked seal‑stone.
Vanessa stared around in shock.
"This… this is a demon‑summoning workshop. The largest I've ever seen."
Andras nodded.
"Umbra prepared for the assassination here. And he prepared… for war."
Vanessa's head snapped up.
"For war?"
Andras pointed at the seals.
"These aren't for summoning a single demon. These… are for an army. Umbra wanted to unleash demons on the city."
Vanessa paled.
"Then… we have to destroy everything."
Andras nodded.
"Yes. But carefully. If we break the wrong seal… the entire cellar will explode."
Vanessa smiled.
"Good thing you're with me, Wolfwood."
Andras blushed.
Just for a moment.
But Vanessa noticed.
The Trap Activates – Umbra's Message
Suddenly the chamber darkened.
The seals flared.
Shadows crawled along the walls.
The air turned cold.
A voice spoke from the darkness.
Umbra's voice.
"Young Wolf… and the Black Raven. Just as I expected."
Vanessa drew her sword.
"Umbra! Show yourself!"
The voice laughed.
"Not now. Not yet. But I see you're rewriting fate. Interesting. Very interesting."
Andras clenched his fist.
"It ends tonight, Umbra."
Umbra's voice deepened.
"Then come. Darkness awaits you."
The seals exploded at once.
The chamber shook.
Shadow demons burst from the walls.
Vanessa shouted:
"Wolfwood! It's starting!"
Andras stepped forward.
Lightning magic flared around him.
"Then let's fight. Together."
The Battle in the Cellar – Darkness Unleashed
The Seals Explode – Darkness Breaks Free
Deep in the wine cellar, the black seals began to vibrate all at once.
Red light pulsed, as if the walls themselves were breathing.
Then:
BOOOOM.
The seals detonated, and darkness flooded the chamber like a living, malevolent fog.
Shadows tore free from the walls — twisted, boneless creatures with glowing red eyes.
The floor trembled, the air turned icy.
Vanessa drew her sword.
"Wolfwood! These… are much stronger than I expected!"
Andras stepped forward, lightning magic blazing around him.
"I know. Umbra didn't want us getting in here."
From the darkness, a deep, distorted voice spoke:
"Young Wolf… welcome to my workshop."
Vanessa shuddered.
"Umbra… he's here. I can feel it."
Andras nodded.
"But he won't show himself yet. He sends his servants first."
The first shadow demon lunged at them.
The Battle – Lightning and Fire Against the Darkness
The demon leapt toward Vanessa in a single bound.
"Watch out!" Andras shouted.
His lightning blade flashed, cutting the creature in half with one strike.
The demon dissolved into smoke.
But two more rushed at them immediately.
Vanessa stepped forward, her sword glowing red.
"Flame Blade!"
The fire sliced through one demon's body, which collapsed with a scream.
The other lunged at Andras.
He slammed his staff into the ground.
"Lightning Net!"
Blue energy wrapped around the demon, which fell twitching.
Vanessa stepped back, breathing hard.
"Wolfwood… they feel endless!"
Andras nodded.
"Because they are. Umbra's seals are summoning them continuously. If we don't shut down the seal… they'll flood the entire city."
Vanessa's eyes widened.
"Then… we have to find the main seal."
Andras pointed to the center of the chamber.
"There. The cracked seal‑stone. If we destroy it… the demons vanish."
Vanessa nodded.
"Then I'll cover you. Go!"
The Main Seal – Umbra's Trap
Andras ran toward the seal‑stone.
Waves of demons tried to block him, but Vanessa cut down every creature in his path.
Near the seal‑stone, the crystal in his eye flared.
A flash:
Andras reaches the seal‑stone,
the stone explodes,
Vanessa is thrown back,
Umbra's shadow appears,
the cellar collapses.
The vision vanished.
Andras stopped.
"Vanessa! Don't come closer! It's a trap!"
Vanessa froze.
"Wolfwood… how do—"
But there was no time to explain.
The seal‑stone trembled.
Black energy burst from its cracks.
Umbra's voice echoed:
"Clever, Young Wolf. But not clever enough."
A massive shadow tendril shot out of the seal‑stone, straight toward Andras.
Vanessa screamed:
"WOLFWOOD!"
Andras slashed the tendril with his lightning blade.
It hissed and recoiled.
"You won't catch me, Umbra. Not in this timeline."
Umbra laughed.
"Oh… so you remember. Interesting. Very interesting."
Vanessa stared at Andras in shock.
"Wolfwood… what is he talking about?"
Andras didn't answer.
There was no time.
Destroying the Main Seal – Driving Back the Darkness
Andras raised his staff.
Lightning magic flared.
The air vibrated.
"Lightning Strike… FULL POWER!"
The lightning blasted into the seal‑stone.
The stone cracked.
Light burst from the fractures.
The demons screamed.
The walls trembled.
Vanessa stepped back.
"Wolfwood! The cellar is collapsing!"
Andras struck the stone again.
BOOOOM.
The seal‑stone exploded.
The demons turned to smoke.
The darkness recoiled.
Umbra's furious voice echoed:
"This is not the end, Young Wolf! Fate cannot be rewritten forever!"
The voice faded.
Silence fell over the cellar.
The End of the Battle – A New Beginning
Vanessa rushed to Andras.
"Wolfwood! Are you alright?!"
Andras nodded, breathing heavily.
"Yes. The seal… is destroyed. Umbra is weakened."
Vanessa smiled.
"Then… we won."
Andras looked into her eyes.
"For now. But Umbra is still alive. And he knows we're coming for him."
Vanessa stepped closer.
"Then… let's go after him. Together."
Andras nodded.
"Together."
In the ruins of the cellar stood two young warriors:
a lightning mage and a black‑cloaked vigilante.
The darkness had retreated.
But the final battle was only just beginning.
