Umbra's Retreat – The Dark Mage's New Plan
The Ruins of the Cellar – The Aftershock of Battle
After the seal‑stone exploded, the depths of the wine cellar slowly fell silent.
The demons turned to smoke, the darkness retreated, and the walls still trembled from the lingering magic.
Vanessa — the Black Raven — stood leaning on her sword, breathing heavily behind her mask.
"Wolfwood… that… that was incredible," she whispered. "Umbra was really here. I felt it. His presence… it was cold. Like death."
Andras nodded.
"Yes. And now he knows we destroyed his seal workshop. This is a major blow to him."
Vanessa stepped closer.
"But not the end. Right?"
Andras looked at the ruins.
"No. Umbra never leaves anything unfinished. Now he retreats… and prepares a new plan."
From deep within the cellar, a faint, distorted voice echoed — Umbra's final message.
"Young Wolf… fate cannot be rewritten forever. Destiny will catch you. And the Black Raven as well."
Vanessa shuddered.
"Wolfwood… that was a threat. A clear one."
Andras clenched his fist.
"I won't let him hurt you. Never again."
Vanessa blushed behind the mask but said nothing.
The Team Arrives – Everyone Is Safe
A flash of light appeared at the cellar entrance.
Andrea and Eris Scarlett arrived from the rooftops.
"Young Wolf!" Andrea called. "We felt the explosion! Are you alright?"
"Yes," Andras replied. "The seal‑stone is destroyed. Umbra's workshop is gone."
Eris Scarlett looked around.
"Light has purified this place. But… I can still feel the remnants of darkness. Umbra is alive."
From the sewers came the sound of splashing water.
Anita and Ironclaw emerged — dirty, but unharmed.
"Young Wolf!" Anita reported. "The sewers are clear. The demons vanished."
Ironclaw sniffed.
"But it stinks. Really stinks."
Fireburp and Ersi ran in from the back exit.
"Young Wolf!" Fireburp shouted. "Nothing exploded! I'm disappointed!"
Ersi sighed.
"I'm relieved."
Vanessa smiled.
"I'm glad everyone is safe."
Assessing the Situation – Umbra's New Plan
Andras stepped before the team.
"Listen. The seal workshop is destroyed. This is a major blow to Umbra. But he won't stop. Now he retreats… and prepares a new plan."
Andrea nodded.
"What do you think, Young Wolf? What will he do next?"
Andras looked at Vanessa.
"Umbra wants personal revenge. The High Councillor — his father — is dead. The assassination failed. His workshop is gone. Now he doesn't just want the city… he wants us."
Vanessa clenched her fist.
"He'll target the Dolermo family too. I know it. I can feel it."
Anita stepped forward.
"Then we protect the family. And the city."
Eris Scarlett's eyes glowed.
"Light is ready."
Fireburp jumped.
"So is fire!"
Ironclaw growled.
"And me!"
Ersi sighed.
"And me… if I must."
Vanessa looked at Andras.
"Wolfwood… what should our next step be?"
Young Wolf's Decision – The Next Target
Andras took a deep breath.
"Umbra has retreated. But not far. There are several abandoned tunnels beneath the city. Old imperial escape routes. The High Councillor surely knew them. Umbra is hiding there now."
Andrea lifted her head.
"The imperial tunnels… dangerous place. Full of traps."
Anita nodded.
"And demons."
Vanessa stepped forward.
"Then we go there. Right, Wolfwood?"
Andras nodded.
"Yes. Umbra is there. And now… we catch him."
The entire team tensed at once.
The air vibrated.
The darkness retreated.
And the next phase of the hunt began.
The Imperial Tunnels – Tracking Down Umbra's Hideout
Beneath the City – Entrance to the Imperial Tunnels
The city's night lights slowly faded as Andras and the team reached one of the forgotten entrances to the old imperial tunnels.
The stone steps were covered in moss, the air cold and damp.
Vanessa — still wearing the Black Raven mask — stopped at the entrance.
"Wolfwood… this place… I feel something very wrong."
Her voice was quiet but firm.
Andras nodded.
"Umbra is here. The crystal confirms it. The darkness… is moving."
The team lined up behind them:
Andrea and Eris Scarlett arrived from the rooftops, ready to react quickly.
Anita and Ironclaw emerged from the sewers, dirty but determined.
Fireburp and Ersi ran in from the back alley, both excited.
Noelle remained at Wolf Lodge, as Young Wolf had asked.
Andras stepped forward.
"Listen. Umbra is hiding here. The High Councillor knew these tunnels, so Umbra does too. There will be traps. Shadows. And maybe… Umbra himself."
Vanessa placed her hand on her sword.
"Then let's go."
Dividing the Team – In the Labyrinth of Darkness
Andras pointed at the map Anita had brought from the harbor warehouse.
"The tunnels branch into three main directions. Umbra will be in the central chamber. But before that, there are traps and seals. So we split like this:"
Andrea and Eris Scarlett – The Upper Passages
"You two clear the upper corridors. If Umbra left shadow traps behind, you'll be the ones to spot them."
Andrea nodded.
"The wind will guide us."
Eris Scarlett's eyes glowed.
"And the light will purify the path."
Anita and Ironclaw – The Lower Sewers
"You two move through the lower passages. If Umbra summons demons, you'll be the first line of defense."
Ironclaw's eyes lit up.
"Demons! Good!"
Anita sighed.
"You're not eating them. You're fighting them. My sword, though, will eat them."
Fireburp and Ersi – Sealing the Back Exit
"You two block the rear exit. If Umbra tries to escape, you stop him."
Fireburp grinned.
"We'll blow it up!"
Ersi massaged her forehead.
"Only if necessary…"
Vanessa and Young Wolf – The Central Chamber
Vanessa stepped forward.
"We two will go after Umbra. Wolfwood and the Black Raven."
Andras nodded.
"Yes. Umbra wants me. And he wants you. If we go together, he can't surprise us."
Vanessa smiled behind her mask.
"Then let's go."
The Imperial Tunnels – The Depth of Darkness
The team entered the tunnels.
The walls were covered with old imperial seals, many of them twisted by Umbra's shadow magic.
The air was cold, the darkness thick, almost alive.
Andrea and Eris Scarlett headed toward the upper passages.
Anita and Ironclaw disappeared into the lower sewers.
Fireburp and Ersi ran toward the rear exit.
Andras and Vanessa remained alone on the main corridor.
Vanessa spoke softly.
"Wolfwood… are you afraid?"
Andras smiled.
"Yes. But not because of Umbra. Because… I might lose you."
Vanessa stopped.
Her eyes trembled behind the mask.
"Wolfwood… I—"
But before she could finish, the darkness moved.
Shadow tendrils burst from the walls.
Umbra's voice echoed:
"Young Wolf… you have finally arrived. Your fate awaits."
Vanessa drew her sword.
"Wolfwood! It's starting!"
Andras stepped forward.
Lightning magic flared around him.
"Umbra… this ends now."
The First Clash in the Tunnels – Umbra's Shadow Traps
The Darkness Moves – The Tunnels Come Alive
Deep in the imperial tunnels, the air suddenly grew colder.
The old imperial seals on the walls trembled, as if touched by an invisible force.
Vanessa moved closer to Andras.
"Wolfwood… this isn't natural. The darkness… is watching us."
Andras nodded.
"Umbra knows we're here. And he left traps behind."
The crystal in his eye vibrated faintly.
For a moment, the future flashed:
shadow tendrils bursting from the walls,
Andrea and Eris Scarlett sending light signals,
Anita and Ironclaw fighting demons,
Fireburp blowing up something she shouldn't,
Umbra's shadow appearing in the central chamber.
The vision vanished.
Andras took a deep breath.
"It begins."
Andrea and Eris Scarlett – Traps in the Upper Passages
In the upper corridors, Andrea and Eris Scarlett moved forward silently.
The wind swirled around Andrea, sensing every movement.
"Eris… something is moving ahead of us," Andrea said.
Eris Scarlett stepped forward, her aura of light flaring.
"Light will reveal it."
A shadow moved on the wall.
Then another.
Then ten.
Shadow traps.
Black arms burst from the walls, grabbing, clawing, choking.
Andrea slashed with her wind blade.
Eris Scarlett unleashed a burst of light.
The traps sizzled and vanished.
"This is only the beginning," Eris said. "Umbra knows we're coming."
Andrea nodded.
"Then we move faster."
Anita and Ironclaw – Demons in the Lower Sewers
Deep in the sewers, the sound of running water suddenly stopped.
The darkness thickened.
Ironclaw growled.
"Anita… something's coming. Big. And smelly."
Anita drew her ice‑demon sword.
"Get ready."
A massive shadow demon rose from the water.
Its body was boneless, its eyes glowing red.
"MASTER… COMMANDED…" the creature rumbled.
Anita stepped forward.
"I'm the one commanding now. Get lost."
The power of the ice demon flared, and with one strike she froze the demon's arm.
Ironclaw leapt onto the creature, tearing with claws and fangs.
The demon screamed, then dissolved into smoke.
Anita wiped her blade.
"That was only the first. Umbra will send more."
Ironclaw's eyes lit up.
"Let them come!"
Fireburp and Ersi – Sealing the Back Exit
At the rear exit, Fireburp had already asked three times:
"Ersi, can I blow something up now? Now? Now?"
Ersi sighed.
"No. Only if Umbra tries to escape. Until then… we wait."
Fireburp sat down, then jumped up five seconds later.
"Now?"
"NO."
Fireburp pouted.
"But it's so boring…"
Ersi looked into the distance.
"It won't be for long. I can feel… something approaching."
Young Wolf and Vanessa – Umbra's First Appearance
On the main corridor, Andras and Vanessa moved forward slowly.
The darkness grew thicker.
Vanessa spoke softly.
"Wolfwood… if Umbra is really here… are you ready?"
Andras nodded.
"Yes. And now I'm not alone."
Vanessa blushed behind her mask.
"Then… together."
The darkness suddenly shifted.
Shadows gathered on the walls.
The air turned cold.
The light vanished.
And from the darkness, a figure stepped forward.
Umbra.
Black cloak, mask shaped from shadow, eyes glowing red.
His voice was both human and demonic.
"Young Wolf… Black Raven… welcome again."
Vanessa stepped forward.
"Umbra! This ends now!"
Umbra slowly raised his hand.
"Oh no. The end is only beginning. And Wolfwood… you've already seen it once."
Vanessa stared at Andras in shock.
"Wolfwood… what did he see? What is he talking about?"
Andras clenched his fist.
"Umbra… I'll finish what I started."
Umbra smiled.
"Then come. Show me what you can do against fate."
The darkness around them began to swirl.
The first act of the final battle had begun.
