The colossal, suffocating mass of violently swirling dark mana didn't fall like a natural object. It descended like a meteor, carrying a gravitational pressure so intense that the ruined asphalt began to crack and splinter before the entity even made physical contact.
Garret moved entirely on instinct. The giant Warrior threw himself in front of Claire, crossing his massive, gauntleted arms over his face and bracing his thick legs, fully prepared to take the brunt of an apocalyptic impact.
But the explosion never came.
Instead, the descent abruptly decelerated. The suffocating mass of dark mana touched down on the broken street with a sickeningly controlled THUD.
