The Galley-La Company shipwrights were convinced that Nico Robin had shot Iceburg.
Soon, wanted notices and accusations began spreading across Water 7, and the Straw Hats were openly labeled as criminals.
When Sonic saw the posters and heard the accusations, he stopped for a moment and said,
"I know we're pirates, and yeah… Robin has a dangerous past."
He looked serious and added,
"But before anything else, I'm going to find Robin first."
Without waiting, Sonic dashed into the streets of Water 7 to search for her.
Screen 2
While searching through the streets and canals of Water 7, Sanji, Tony Tony Chopper, and Sonic finally found Nico Robin.
Robin stood calmly, but her expression was distant.
She quietly told them that she was leaving the crew.
Robin explained that she carried a "darkness" from her past, and that staying with the Straw Hats would only bring destruction to them.
Sonic stepped forward, clearly not convinced.
"You really expect us to believe you'd leave just like that?" he said.
His eyes stayed fixed on Robin, trying to read what she was hiding.

The truth finally came out in Water 7.
Rob Lucci, Kaku, and Kalifa were not ordinary shipwrights at all.
They revealed themselves as members of CP9, an elite secret organization working directly under the World Government.
Their true mission was to obtain the blueprints for the ancient weapon Pluton.
When Sonic heard this, his eyes narrowed.
"So the shipwright thing was all fake…" he said.
Then he looked toward the government agents and added,
"Great. Secret government assassins. This just got worse."
Screen 4
The agents of CP9 suddenly revealed the full extent of their power. Using a mix of Devil Fruit abilities and the deadly martial arts of Rokushiki, they attacked the Straw Hats without holding back.
Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro rushed in first, but CP9's speed and precision quickly overwhelmed them.
Sonic joined the fight immediately, trying to use his speed to pressure the agents from the side.
But one of the CP9 members countered with a sudden leg technique, striking Sonic's leg with brutal force.
The hit injured his leg badly and forced him back, making it difficult for him to keep moving at full speed.
Within moments, Luffy, Zoro, and Sonic were all left badly injured as the agents set the Galley-La building ablaze behind them.

Franky calmly explained to Usopp that the Going Merry was beyond repair and could not safely continue the journey.
Hearing the same truth again hit Usopp hard.
He lowered his head and said quietly,
"…and I just fought with my friends over this."
The weight of the earlier argument with Luffy and Sonic clearly began to sink in, leaving Usopp deeply distressed.
