"You have no idea what happens when you make me angry!"
Before the flames from the explosion had even faded, the monster's voice rang out from within.
"It's Ultron!"
The one who spoke was Vision. He had only felt that the monster seemed somewhat familiar and hadn't initially thought of the supposedly destroyed Ultron.
Everyone looked at Vision with doubtful expressions.
Knowing what they were thinking, Vision explained,
"His presence is very faint. I didn't notice it at first. But just now I sensed something… like a weak breath. It's Ultron—just a little different."
Natasha pouted.
"We can all see that."
It was obvious that Ultron had changed greatly. Otherwise, they would have recognized him immediately.
Vision shook his head.
"No… I mean his aura feels different too. It's like… it's mixed with many impurities."
While they were talking, Ultron waved his hand.
In the sky above them, an entire ocean suddenly appeared.
Natasha frowned.
"This is bad. What is that?"
Tony replied casually,
"I don't know. Can everyone here swim? Maybe it's a diving competition."
Quicksilver pointed upward.
"Then what about this?"
Steve turned toward Karl.
"Karl, do you have a solution?"
Karl simply looked up and blew a breath into the sky.
The ocean instantly turned into vapor and disappeared.
"I'm really curious," Tony said. "Can you blow out the sun too? Do you have a super-powered hair dryer hidden in your stomach?"
No one could see Tony's expression behind the helmet, but his tone clearly revealed his shock.
Of course, it also demonstrated Karl's incredible control over his abilities.
Quicksilver and Wanda stared with wide eyes. They had never imagined Karl was actually this powerful. Even the data they had seen underestimated him. Seeing it with their own eyes was even more shocking.
"That was just the appetizer," Ultron interrupted. "Perhaps you'll enjoy the main course."
Everything Karl had done was already within Ultron's expectations. In fact, it was merely bait to lure them out.
Ultron slowly descended to the ground.
"Do you know where this land came from—"
Bang!
A loud sound suddenly erupted from Ultron's body.
"You talk too much. Why do you like babbling so much? Everyone here is already familiar with that noise."
Karl had appeared in front of Ultron in an instant.
Not only did he appear—he also threw a punch that blew away half of Ultron's body.
The bright red glow in Ultron's eyes dimmed instantly, and the strange aura around him disappeared.
"Oh! What a pity. He didn't even finish his last words. I really wanted to give him another chance."
Tony stepped out of his Iron Man armor, speaking with a sarcastic tone.
Vision glanced at Tony.
"He might not be dead."
Everyone except Karl looked at Vision suspiciously, waiting for an explanation.
Vision continued,
"This is only a body. Ultron is essentially a consciousness. The more bodies he has, the more lives he possesses."
Karl didn't respond. Instead, he closed his eyes and listened carefully to the entire world.
He was searching for every trace of Ultron.
Suddenly—
"Ahh!"
"Help!"
"Someone save us!"
"What is that?!"
Countless cries for help flooded into Karl's mind.
The scenes forming in his thoughts looked like the end of the world.
Massive oceans were falling from the sky, washing across the land. People could only cry helplessly, hoping someone would save them.
"Sister-in-law, go notify the European High Council of Sorcerers. As for the rest of you, we'll head to San Francisco first. There are many Ultrons there."
Without waiting for anyone to respond, Karl flew away.
Europe had already become a disaster zone. Even if he rushed there now, it would only be damage control.
This was probably the "main course" Ultron had mentioned.
But the scale was enormous—millions of people might die.
Karl could only do his best to rescue as many as possible. The disaster itself could not be erased—only mitigated. Different abilities meant different responsibilities.
Di Wan waved her hand, opening a portal. Without saying goodbye to the Avengers, she stepped through it.
She returned to Kamar-Taj.
Night had already fallen. The courtyard was empty.
She entered the training ground and saw only a white man with a beard.
"You must be Di Wu, the one Gu Yi mentioned," the man said immediately. "She asked me to tell you that they went to Europe."
Di Wan nodded and immediately turned to leave. This was no time for idle conversation.
Karl's situation worried her greatly. She had to reach Europe.
"Hey! Wait!"
The man stopped her.
"My name is Stephen Strange. Can you tell me what they're doing? Why did everyone leave?"
Di Wu glanced back at him.
"You should focus on your training here. These matters aren't something you can handle yet."
Then she disappeared through the portal, leaving Strange standing there, stunned.
He smacked his lips thoughtfully.
"I didn't expect such a beautiful girl to be here… I wonder what Christine would think."
He left the training ground. It was late at night and he had been awakened suddenly earlier, so he was still sleepy.
After returning to his room, he closed the door and turned around—
"Don't make a sound. I don't like people shouting in front of me."
The lights in Kamar-Taj were dim, and the person behind him was hidden in the darkness.
Strange raised his hands.
"Take it easy. I don't have anything worth robbing."
"No, no, no," the voice replied. "This is something you deserve."
Meanwhile, Di Wu arrived in Italy through a portal.
The moment she appeared, the tragic scene around her made her freeze.
Water was everywhere.
Debris and countless corpses floated across the flooded streets.
Cries for help echoed from the buildings. Many voices were already hoarse, as if they had been shouting for a long time.
Crack!
Because the foundation had been severely damaged, one of the buildings began to tilt.
Many people were still inside, screaming in panic.
Di Wu had never seen such a scene before.
She clenched her teeth.
She wanted to use every bit of power she had to influence reality itself.
Her white teeth, red lips without lipstick, elegant posture, and wind-blown hair made her look almost like a goddess.
Di Wan raised her delicate hand and waved it forcefully in front of her.
Clang—!
The building began repairing itself like assembling blocks.
Bit by bit, its structure changed. Nearby buildings began shifting as well.
Sweat formed on her smooth forehead and her face grew pale.
To use this ability, a flash of light briefly appeared between her brows before fading.
Finally, Di Wu let out a breath.
The magic circle beneath her feet flickered slightly, unstable.
She had slightly overdrawn her mental power—but fortunately it was still sustainable.
Thanks to the terrain changes, everyone in the building and nearby houses was now safe. The water had been redirected elsewhere.
This was the first time she had used her full strength, and now she roughly understood her limits.
She was extremely powerful—but not omnipotent. Altering real matter in space was still difficult.
Enemies wouldn't simply wait for you to finish casting a spell. That was the weakness of this ability. It was nothing like the Mirror Dimension, where reality changed freely according to your thoughts.
Just as she began to feel unsteady—
Karl descended from the sky.
He glanced at the exhausted Di Wu, walked over, and picked her up in his arms.
"Go back to Kamar-Taj. The sorcerers have already handled the situation here."
She grabbed his collar weakly.
"I don't have any strength left…"
Karl smiled gently.
"That's what makes you look charming."
Di Wan wrinkled her nose and pouted.
"Hmph."
Hearing her soft, childish tone nearly made Karl lose his balance.
It was unexpectedly adorable.
After bringing Di Wan back to Kamar-Taj, Karl immediately flew toward San Francisco.
But the situation there wasn't any better.
Not long after leaving, a new change occurred, forcing Karl to return to the training grounds of Kamar-Taj.
"Gu Yi, this isn't over yet. You'll have to move as well."
After saying that, Karl left again.
Flying through the sky, Karl frowned.
"This game is unfolding on such a massive scale… What exactly is trying to lure me here?"
