"Did you send those flowers?" Felicity's voice cut through the silence of my office, her stare boring into me like a laser. "You're the mystery man from that dating app, aren't you?"
"Absolutely not," I replied without hesitation, injecting just enough indignation into my tone. "What kind of question is that?"
"It's you." She leaned closer, her eyes narrowing. "Everything clicks now. The way you watch her when she's not looking, how you always manufacture reasons to collaborate with her, that deer-in-headlights look when I brought up her secret admirer."
"Felicity, Penny and I maintain a professional friendship. Nothing more."
"Drop the act," she snapped, dismissing my words with a sharp gesture. "You two have been circling each other like magnets ever since that flight where you hooked up."
