Bernard's POV
After brunch ended, everyone naturally drifted into separate groups. The women gathered on the back patio where they could chat without interruption. Maya, Penny, and Felicity had claimed the outdoor space, with little Leo crawling around on a soft blanket. Through the glass doors, I caught glimpses of their animated conversation, Penny's bright laughter cutting through the afternoon air.
"Want something stronger than coffee?" I suggested to Sebastian, gesturing toward the well-stocked bar cart in the living room. "After flying across an ocean with an infant, you probably earned it."
"Absolutely," Sebastian replied with visible relief, trailing behind me into the quieter section of the house. "I adore Leo, but listening to him scream for hours straight on that plane nearly broke me. The other passengers looked ready to stage a mutiny."
