Sebastian's POV
I studied Dominic for several moments, noting the urgency radiating from every line of his body. Maya sat next to me, confusion and worry etched across her delicate features. The last thing she needed was more pressure, particularly after the confrontation with Bianca back in Ohalhaven had left her shaken.
"We should step outside," I decided, rising and placing my hand on Maya's shoulder. "This won't take much time."
"Sebastian..." she started, anxiety threading through her voice, but I interrupted her softly.
"Let me listen to what he has to say first. Then I'll share everything with you, I give you my word," I murmured, brushing my lips against her forehead. Her skin was still warm from the stress of waiting. "Rest here. If the doctors have any updates about Arthur, contact me immediately."
Maya gave a hesitant nod, caught between her desire to understand what Dominic had discovered and her relief at avoiding additional stress for the moment.
