The world fell silent around us as we both just stared at the darkened sky.
I had finally been able to pull myself together and now words were escaping me..
"You probably think I'm pathetic." I decided to break the silence.
I didn't know for how long this was going to last, but I'll be damned if I let this opportunity pass in silence.
"Why would I think that?"
"Heh! Maybe because I drone on about avenging you and mom, yet the moment I see you, I cave and break down, just like the child I was back then."
"Heh! You think being vulnerable makes you weak? You think being allowed to let yourself grieve properly makes you weak?"
"Truly… I have failed as a father."
My head snapped down immediately, "you have not!"
"Heh! Then tell me, Dante." His eyes locked onto mine.
Gold against gold.
"When was the last time you let yourself grieve our passing…"
