Lucian disappeared and ran back to his seat.
Sitting right next to his new girlfriend.
"Ania, where's Selen? Solaris isn't doing well, and I want to... Stop making that lewd look; it's creeping me out."
Ania leaned over and kissed Lucian deeply, causing him to turn red.
Then, as she pulled back, she spoke.
"I'm not sure; you'd have to look around. I'd help, but it's my turn to fight, so don't wait up, my love."
Lucian watched as Ania walked away before leaning back and smiling.
"How did I get so lucky?"
As Lucian was enjoying the moment, something exploded in the arena, and something else was thrown from one of its walls.
A large hole was left in the wall with smoke seeping from it.
In the middle of the arena, a body lay, that of a normal office worker. The body was mangled and broken; chunks of flesh were missing from its body, and its eyes were gouged out.
Its blood was spilling, filling the area around the new corpse.
A foot stepped out from the hole where the body had been tossed; then a being walked out of it.
Lucian's eyes widened as he saw what it was, or rather, who it was.
Two white wings flapped, then extended out to their fullest; below them, two smaller wings did the same.
Before the entirety of the Crimson Cross, Ezekial stood, his wings spread out, covered in the blood of office workers.
His eyes now had a black undertone to them, and his fingers had grown longer like talons, while his feet and legs grew out and larger.
The white clothes that he had worn were now torn from the substantial growth as well as stained with the blood of myriad innocent humans.
With the bright light of the early morning bending around him, Lucian felt a fear begin to grip his heart.
What the hell?
Why is he?
Wait, no... it can't be...
As the realization hit him, a word slipped through Lucian's lips.
"Demon."
Lucian wasn't alone with this realization; already, every hunter was standing to attack.
Marks were being summoned; Micys and Extramicys were being powered on.
All of them wanted it dead; all had their own roles in the Crimson Cross, but all had the same idea in this moment.
Kill the demon.
However, none of them moved first. As the demon let out a bloodcurdling screech, revealing its rows of teeth, each sharper than a razor, something landed across the arena from it.
Dust and sand were picked up into the air as that somthing slammed into the ground, forming a thick brown cloud that obscured the vision of outsiders.
Slowly, as the dust settled, Lucian began to make out some of what he had seen land on the ground.
The ground was cracked, somthing that had not happened throughout all of the fights; not even Ember had done this feat.
In fact, it was more than just cracked; a crater was now indented into the ground. The stone of the arena was bent up, and other parts were turned to dust from the impact.
Lucian finally took a step forward; yet as he did, he felt as though something was barring his path.
Just then the dust spiraled into a ball, then dissipated as if it had never been there to begin with.
Beneath the former dust cloud, inside the crater, stood a tall and muscular man.
The man was clad in a suit and tie, the outer jacket and tie fluttering in the wind; his facial features were incredibly average, in stark contrast to his entrance.
Over his eyes, a pair of glasses sat, the lenses looking like cartoon eyes.
The man straightened to his feet, jumped out of the crater, and stood staring at the demon; then he cracked his neck and began to roll his shoulders, loosening up the muscles.
"Who the hell is that? I'd remember someone so strong. But I can't seem to place him. Is he new, maybe?"
Lucian looked around the colosseum; no one was moving, and some even sat back down.
Clearly, I'm not the only one affected.
Lucian took a step back from the strange aura blocking his path and crossed his arms.
Then he looked into the future.
In that future, the man standing in the arena shot forward and punched the demon in the jaw, cracking it.
This wasn't surprising to Lucian based on what the man had already done; what was surprising was what he saw while he looked into the future: something he couldn't see from his angle.
On the man's lapel, a name tag sat, and on it read.
"JON SMIT!!!"
The first in command has stepped in to this fight!!!!
As Lucian yelled this, the entire arena began to murmur, then eventually began to chant his name.
Jon Smit raised his arm and waved to the crowd, then he spoke in the announcer's booming voice.
"ALL OF YOU RELAX, ALLOW ME TO HANDLE THIS!"
The remaining people sat back down, and Ania made her way back to Lucian, sitting on his lap.
Jon Smit cracked his knuckles and dashed forward with terrifying speed, punching the demon in the jaw, cracking it.
The demon had no time to dodge, move, or do anything; it was, in fact, as though it couldn't move when facing Jon Smit.
Its body left the confines of the ground, spiraling into the air; before its wings could stop its upward trajectory, its massive body slammed into something.
Jon Smit smirked and then leapt from the ground.
Closing the distance faster than humanly possible.
Jon Smit raised his arm and slammed his fist into the side of the demon's head before turning his body, dragging the demon with his fist.
Time for me to have some fun.
