EVAN SEVILLE
I watched her ate her favorite food with her sweets and drink, while she was watching her childhood cartoon.
I just admired her. It was one of the things I loved to do. She's my precious. My dearly precious.
I studied her face, seeing her reactions— Her smiles, her laughs, the way her eyes bleamed with happiness, like she was a kid again. I didn't mind her being like this.
If this was the only way I could see her acting like this, I would do better just so I could see her like this— Safe and carefree. Amelia just being herself and free spirited.
When her favorite cartoon was finished, so did her favorite food and sweets, I put them all away to the kitchen and came back to our room, after washing them.
We laid down in bed in silence. I knew Amelia was still needing space, so I didn't bother coming close to her. But I did reached my hand to hers, touching it with my pinky finger. I waited for her go signal if I was okay to touch her hand, and when she gripped my pinky finger, I held her hand.
She gripped my hand, I moved closer to her with her back against my bare chest. I kissed her shoulder, missed her the whole day, emotionally and physically.
She turned and buried her face into my chest, muttering, "I'm sorry about today.." I chuckled, wrapping my arm around her waist as I kissed her head, "no need to apologize.."
I drew patterns on her back as we went back to being silent, my mind going back to the topic about having kids with her. But I didn't bother bringing it up again even if I wanted to, knowing she won't accept it...
I was snapped out of my thinking when Amelia mentioned our childhood days, "remember when our parents signed contracts.. for marriage?" She looked up at me, I smiled and nodded.
She continued, "back then we were just best friends, two kids who knew nothing of what was going on back then.. Until my parents and I went to another country, then came back here to continue my college life.. And I met you by coincidence.."
"If I recall, our parents signed contracts for us to get married in the future because of the businesses, right? Especially after they found that we met in college.." I nodded, listening to her.
"They didn't even mentioned this to us— It was a bet between our parents, not until when we got engaged back then. They actually planned to discontinue the contract due to low expectations of us being together as they noticed that both of us were too focused on studying, but they never expected us to be engaged.." She laughed softly— Her laugh was the best music to my ears— I hummed in responds and added.
"Yeah, I never thought they had already planned us to get married in the future, and they were shocked when they found out we were engaged." I remembered my parents' reaction, as well as her parents. They were all stunned by the news, yet celebrated because the business could expand.
We talked for a while— Our childhood, our future plans, our expectations of us, our unexpected engagement back then.. until she mentioned kids. I stiffened when she said, "I really don't want to be pregnant..."
I didn't say anything, I just held her tight before saying, "we could adopt.." She shook her head, "I don't want kids, Evan.. I'm not ready to be a mother.." I hummed in response.
She's not ready, don't force it.. I thought to myself.
"I know.. Until you're ready..—"
"I'll never be ready, Evan.. I'm sorry to say this, but Evan.. I don't want to have kids." Her words cut like knife through my heart. I had always wanted a family with her, a dream of my own sanctuary— Her and our kids.
"I'm sorry if I wasn't able to make your dreams come true.." She barely whispered, voice trembling. I just held her close to me, hugging her tight as I kissed her head, whispering assurance to her, "it's okay.. It's okay. No need to feel pressure, I don't mind.." Yes, I do.. But I love you..
I kept comforting her until she fell asleep, I stayed up all night, watching her sleep, my mind wondering what it would look like if we were to have kids indeed..
What our future would look like if she ever gave us a chance to have a child..
I let out a sigh, then kissed her forehead, murmuring, "I hope you consider of having a family with me in the future.. If not, then I'll keep waiting until you change your mind.."
I held her close as I drifted off to sleep.
MORNING SUNRISE
I woke up with a morning wood— Painfully— I ignored it. My arm subconsciously looked for her, my wife. But I found an empty, cold space. My eyes flew open and I sat up, looking for her.
Just on time, the door opened, revealing Amelia in her uniform— button up sleeve that had the sleeves cuffed and tucked to her elbow, making her look hot and knee length skirt that seemed tobe stretchable and hugged her hips perfectly, showing her shape— with her hair pulled up in a neat bun and her black 2 inch heels.
This is my life, my lover, my wife, my woman.. My Amelia..
I could feel my dick twitched, and God, I was so embarrassed when her eyes glanced down at the tent of the blanket that I used to cover my morning wood.
She just let out a laugh, "morning wood?" She walked towards the bed, placing the tray on the night stand as she pulled out the table attached from our bed side, while I looked away with my face red from embarrassment.
"Just ignore it.." I mumbled, then she settled the tray of breakfast on the table when she finished. She pat my head, kissing my cheek, "I have to leave for breakfast event at the café. I'll be the barista for today. Boss said they needed me there for photoshoots as well," she looked at herself in the body mirror, next to our balcony door.
A photoshoot?
I raised a brow, "pardon?" Amelia turned with a smile, "they surpised me today with a text.. They needed a new face for the new coffee they made.."
For a moment, I saw something in her that just made me want to give my whole life to her..
She was absolutely dazzling, today.
