Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 14

EVAN SEVILLE

While Amelia did her photoshoots at the café, I wrote down a new story— Dedicated to her this time. It will be filled with our childhood days, how we met, how we built our friendship, how we fell in love, everything.

I was busy typing down on my keyboard, eyes focused on the screen, on every word I typed, making sure it reached my readers and making sure they feel what we felt throughout our histories.

Suddenly, my phone rang. I stopped at what I was doing and looked at my phone as I picked up it up, seeing my wife's name as the caller ID. I immediately answered, "hey, little one, how are you doing?" My voice rasped from unused, a smile spreading on my lips, since I have been quiet all day and busied myself with making a new novel.

"Hey, hon.. Are you busy right now?" Her voice was a music to my ears, which I always loved to listen and always looked for whenever I was busy with book signing events or creating a new novel.

"Yes, I am, my love. But I could make time, what is it that you need, hm?"

There was a moment of silence, but I could hear the background noises— People talking, the clinking sound of cups, the coffee blender, cameras clicking.

I heard her sigh in exhaustion— no, more like in frustration, until she finally spoke, "can you.. come and bring the camera with you? You still have that talent right?"

I cocked a brow, spun my chair around to face the window, "yeah, photographing is still within me— Can I ask why though?"

"I'll explain to you once you come here, boss is stress out right now, so am I. But it seems like the photographer had ran with the money that our boss paid." I could feel her frustration strangling her voice. I didn't hesitate to help her out, "sure thing, I'll be there in 10."

"Thanks, love.. I'll see you— Also, can you make me a tuna-mayo sandwich, please?" She asked shyly, making me smile, "sure, love.. I will. Bye now, love you, sweetheart,"

"I love you.. so much.. Evan."

My heart skipped a beat as she ended the call, I leane don my chair and looked at the ceiling as I tapped my phone on my forehead, smiling like crazy, "God, she's adorable.."

I fanned boy a moment, then got ready. Made her a tuna-mayo sandwich, whiched I made three because I knew she would want more than just one. I also packed my camera and the rest of its gears, and went to our car, setting the gears inside and drove off.

When I got to their café, I saw how many customers were there, lining up outside the takeouts and even inside the café. I quickly made my way inside, and saw Amelia at the counter, working as a barista. I didn't even know how she knew I was here, because her back was facing me when I walked in and then she turned around with a smile, her eyes quickly landing on mine.

As if she knew I was already there.

She spoke to one of her colleagues, who agreed with her, and walked out of the counter to me as she grabbed my hand, "at the back, come on." Amelia led me through the back doors, behind their café where there was mono lights already set up, but the photographer was nowhere.

I set up my gear, "so, what happened?" I asked, setting the camera down with the stand properly, and also handed her tuna-mayo sandwich, which was in a plastic container.

She suddenly snatched it from my hand in irritation, taking one from the the plastic container after she opened it. I cocked a brow on her attitude, I composed myself and crossed my arms.

She stood there eating, her eyebrows furrowed before she started talking, "the photographer that our boss hired just ran away with the money he had paid with, he was supposed to be here by 10 in the morning, and when that photographer didn't show up by 10, we weren't worried, until 3PM came."

"We contacted the photographer, only to find out that the number doesn't exist anymore, and our boss paid him 10k for the set. Because the photographer had make up artists set and outfits, etc. I don't know what else, but that's what happened." She sighed, eating another one of her tuna-mayo after finishing the other.

I didn't say anything, I only stood there with my arms crossed. She probably noticed my silence and raised her head to look at me, raising a brow, "what?"

I only stared at her and said, "watch your attitude— I appreciate you telling me everything that happened, but I really didn't like the attitude you gave me when I gave you your food." I said, tone strict and deep. Before she could say anything, her boss, Martin, came and talked with me. I could see Amelia's reaction from what I said to her, from my peripheral vision.

She looked like she didn't know what tod, and she seemed like she was recalling her actions.

We did the photoshoot after talking with her boss, gave Amelia the best shots. When we were done, I already sent the photos to Martin since he would be the one printing out the photo and plastered it on their fromt window café so that people could see the new coffee they had made.

While I was silence, packing my things and the gears I've used inside the car, Amelia didn't approached me the whole day ever since I called out on her attitude. I was abit frustrated by that. I just really didn't like hiw she just snatched the container from my hand without even saying a thank you.

I didn't get back inside the café to tell her that I'll go home, as usual. I just texted her from my phone then left. I parked the car outside our garage and got inside the house with my staff to put them away in my home office.

I then took a shower to cool off. Once I was done, I headed downstairs to cook dinner for both of us, with my phone on my hand as I read the message she sent me, "I'll be home by 9PM. Don't wait up for me,"

I always waited for her whenever she came home late, but this time, I wanted her to know how she acted today got on my nerves. She didn't even acknowledge her action today. I ate dinner by myself for the first time, put her dinner away inside the fridge and headed downstairs the basement to workout.

I need to cool down.
