Evie immediately scrambled upright, making way for Lucas, who was staring at her as if she were his arch-enemy. It was certainly expected, and Evie merely rolled her eyes. She managed to slip into the management office through the narrow space without looking back.
Concurrently, Lucas glared daggers as she walked past him and into the office.
"What an Imbecile! I'm sure she already seduced both of them to secure the leading actress role." He muttered to himself as he watched her take a seat in front of the management and director, who were now beaming at her.
Unable to bear the sight of her about to steal Jessica's leading role, he clenched his fist and then stormed out of the management office, enraged.
Evie, meanwhile, requested, "I'm here for my approved audition test results."
The manager, Mr. Grant, opened his desk drawer, searching for Evie's audition test results among many others. He immediately handed hers to her, with her movie script underneath it.
