The Devil's Prophecy
Walinsiya sat comfortably on the sofa and looked at the three boys sitting in front of her.
"So," she said slowly, "tell me everything you know about Jinha… and most importantly, tell me her weakness."
Julian, who was sitting on the sofa across from her, turned toward Hanaume.
"Hanaume, tell her."
Hanaume sat between Julian and Takemishi and began explaining.
"If I say it simply, Jinha is extremely strong. Even many of the teachers in our university are not stronger than her."
He continued,
"And there is a boy named Jeigan who recently joined our university. Whenever Jeigan gets into trouble, Jinha always comes to save him."
He shrugged slightly.
"She is always saying Jeigan this, Jeigan that."
"As for her weakness… honestly, I don't know any."
Walinsiya slowly smiled.
(Hmm… just as I expected.)
"No weakness?" she said quietly.
Then she laughed.
"You already told me her weakness."
Julian, Takemishi and Hanaume looked confused.
"Weakness?"
Walinsiya leaned forward.
"That new student in your university… Jeigan."
Her eyes gleamed dangerously.
"If we kidnap him somehow, we can blackmail Jinha."
The three boys stared at her.
"If we torture Jeigan," Walinsiya continued, "Jinha will definitely come running to save him."
"And once she arrives… she will have no choice but to follow our orders."
Julian's face lit up.
"That's an amazing plan!"
Takemishi leaned closer and whispered into Julian's ear.
"(Isn't this going a little too far?)"
Julian whispered back.
"(Let it happen. They treated us badly too. Now they will learn their lesson.)"
Classes had ended at Dayson University.
It was around 3 PM.
Students slowly left the campus.
Jinha waved goodbye to Jeigan before getting on the bus.
"Bye! See you tomorrow!"
The bus slowly drove away.
Jeigan stood quietly near the university gate.
(Should I go there?)
(That strange guy… what was his name again?)
(Jode… Jonious… whatever.)
(He told me to meet him at the top of Mount Dieasgo.)
Jeigan stayed silent for a few seconds.
"Hmm…"
Finally he sighed.
"Forget it… let's just go and see."
"There are still a few hours before evening."
"I must return home before night."
"Mount Dieasgo is at least five kilometers from here… so I'll need to activate my deal."
Jeigan took a deep breath.
"Deal of Horse."
Deal Activated
Jeigan suddenly began running at incredible speed along the road.
Wind rushed past him as he ran.
Soon the massive mountain of Mount Dieasgo appeared in the distance.
After some time he finally arrived.
"Deal Cancel."
Deal Rejected
"Finally… I made it."
Jeigan began climbing the mountain slowly and carefully.
While climbing, he looked down.
"If I fall from here… not even a single bone will remain."
After a long climb he finally reached the top.
But the moment he tried to stand—
His foot suddenly slipped.
"Whoa—!"
Jeigan almost fell off the cliff.
Suddenly someone grabbed his hand.
A strong arm pulled him back onto the ground.
Jeigan looked up.
Standing in front of him was Jodenious.
"Did you come here to meet me," Jodenious said calmly, "or to commit suicide?"
Jeigan stared at him.
"You…!"
"You're the one who appeared in my dream yesterday, right?"
"Jonious?"
Jodenious sighed.
"Not Jonious."
"My name is Jodenious."
Jeigan scratched his head awkwardly.
"Oh… sorry."
"Then tell me something."
"Why did you call me here?"
"And why do you want to make me a king?"
"And what exactly was that dream yesterday?"
Jodenious gestured toward the grass.
"First calm down and sit."
"I'll explain everything."
Both of them sat on the green grass.
Jodenious spoke calmly.
"First let me introduce myself again."
"My name is Jodenious."
"I am the Second Devil King."
Jeigan nodded.
"My name is Jeigan."
"I'm a university student."
Jodenious continued.
"Now I'll come to the main point."
"The dream you saw yesterday…"
"That was your future."
Jeigan's face changed.
"My future?"
"What do you mean?"
Jodenious spoke slowly.
"In the future, a war will break out between humans and devils."
"And you are the only one who can stop that war."
Jeigan frowned.
"What?"
Jodenious continued,
"Before the war begins, someone must be defeated."
"And only you can defeat that person."
"That is why I will train you and make you stronger."
Jeigan shook his head.
"But how did you see the future?"
Jodenious replied,
"In our kingdom there are Devil Witches."
"Sometimes they can see fragments of the future through deal magic."
"That is how we learned about it."
Jeigan stood up.
"There is no proof any of this will actually happen."
"Witches spread rumors all the time."
"I'm not becoming a king."
"And I don't need your training."
"If I want to become stronger… Jinha is enough."
Jodenious sighed.
"If that is the future you choose… then so be it."
Jeigan turned and began walking away.
"And don't appear in my dreams again."
"I need to go home before evening."
As Jeigan walked away, Jodenious murmured quietly.
"Sumieniya Valtherion… hmm."
Jeigan stopped and turned around.
"Did you say something?"
Jodenious smiled calmly.
"No."
"You can go."
"But think about what I said."
Jeigan shook his head.
"No need."
He began climbing down the mountain.
Jodenious watched him leave and chuckled.
"Like father… like son."
Jeigan ran through the streets again.
"I'm late again…"
"My DLMANA energy is almost empty because of using Horse power too much."
"Deal of Horse."
Deal Accepted
Jeigan rushed through the streets quickly.
Soon he arrived at his house gate.
"Huh… huh…"
"Finally."
"Deal Cancel."
Deal Rejected
"I'm exhausted… I wasted too much DLMANA today."
He knocked on the door.
"Mom! I'm home!"
Sumie opened the door with a slightly angry expression.
"You're late again."
"Come inside."
Jeigan walked inside.
"Sorry Mom."
( I shouldn't tell her about Jodenious. )
"I was playing games with friends… that's why I got late."
Sumie sighed.
"What should I do with you…"
"Go freshen up and come eat dinner."
Inside the house, Rudan was sitting on the sofa drinking green tea.
Later, in the bathroom, Jeigan sat quietly in the bathtub.
(That Jodenious guy…)
(He said something like Sumieniya Valtherion…)
(What was that supposed to mean?)
Jeigan shook his head.
"Forget it."
"Strange people appear from nowhere."
Later that night at the bus stand.
Julian, Takemishi and Hanaume waved at Walinsiya.
"Okay bye! Good night Marry!"
"We'll meet again!"
Walinsiya smiled.
"Yes."
"And start the work tomorrow."
The three boys nodded.
"Yes!"
Walinsiya turned and walked down a quiet street.
Takemishi whispered to Hanaume.
"Marry is really beautiful and hot."
Hanaume nodded.
"Yeah… maybe we should try our luck with her once."
Julian immediately punched both of them on the head.
"Ah!"
"We are here to punish Jeigan, not to chase after women."
The two boys rubbed their heads.
"Sorry…"
Walinsiya walked through a quiet street near Jinha's house.
Suddenly she noticed a cat.
She slowly licked her lips.
"Mmm… I haven't tasted blood since morning."
"Come here, little kitty."
She grabbed the cat and bit into its neck.
"Mmm…"
After drinking its blood she released it.
The terrified cat ran away while meowing loudly.
"I'm getting tired of drinking animal blood."
Soon she arrived at Jinha's house gate.
She pressed the doorbell.
A voice came from the speaker.
"Who is it?"
Walinsiya smiled.
"It's me… Walinsiya."
The gate opened.
She stepped inside.
Jinha was standing in front of the door with her arms crossed.
"Where were you until now?"
Walinsiya replied casually.
"Nowhere."
"I just went out for a walk."
Jinha stepped forward.
"I know exactly where you were."
"And what you were doing."
Walinsiya's eyes widened.
Her heart suddenly felt cold.
She slowly stepped back.
